These folks lost a customer today for sure. My husband purchased a $1000 chain for me from them for Christmas and I went in to exchange it the next day. There was no issue there. However I also brought in 2 watches that I received as gifts to have them sized down. I was told to step out for 20 mins or so and they would do it. Great, no problem. I came back about an hour later and was told that the Cartier watch was giving them an issue and that they would need âa day or 2â to remove the links. Great, no problem. Fast forward 5 days and I HAD NOT HEARD A WORD. As this is a very expensive watch, I was pretty anxious. I CALLED THEM around noon and the person who answered the phone said they would look into it for me. He got back on the phone and said that they were unable to remove the links thus far but would try again now? They had the watch since Tuesday (itâs now Saturday) so what made them think that today was the day that it was going to work? I said donât worry about it, I will bring it back to the store it was purchased at and made it clear that I didnât want any more attempts made as clearly whatever they were doing wasnât working. The guy said they were trying as we speak and he would call me back in 30 mins to let me know the status. He called me back about 10 mins later and told me no luck. He then advised me that if I didnât pick it up by 6pm I wouldnât get it back for another 10 days as they were going on vacation. Seriously?! Its a good thing I CALLED THEM to find out the status or I would wouldnât have gotten my watch back for 10 days! I showed up to pick it up with 2 small kids in tow and was barely even acknowledged walking in the door. Eventually a woman I had not worked with the first time greeted me and went to get the watch. In the meantime the gentleman I had originally worked with came in and barely even acknowledged me mumbling something about it not working. No apologies for wasting my time, holding on to my watch for 5 days and for the complete lack of communication. To add insult to injury, I went to pay for the other watch link removal ($15) and was informed that it was cash only. Seriously? When I went to originally pay for the Timex links at drop off I was told they PREFERRED cash. I was not told it was going to be a issue especially in light of the fact that they dropped the ball all over the place. I told them I had no cash (as I had to scramble to get there before they closed for 10 days)I was told to go to an ATM. When I asked where I could find one I was told she didnât live around here and had no idea. So here I am trying to pick up a watch they didnât even do anything to with a screaming baby in a stroller basically being told I couldnât have my $4k watch back until they got their $15 in cash. I found an ATM and came back with the cash and left. The only reason I didnât express my frustration in store was because my 7 year old didnât need to see any more rudeness than what she already saw. The fact that they werenât able to do the job was not the problem. These folks need a serious refresher course in Customer Service. My family and I will never purchase anything from this...
Read moreI went into to Jewelers to get a new battery put into a old digital seiko watch that my wife gave me 44 1/2 years ago when we got married in 1977. upon entering the store there were a bunch of customers being helped I was greeted and was told someone would be right with me soon. I said no problem. About 5 minutes went by when some one was free. I handed the watch over to that person and explained about the watch being 44 1/2 years old and it has a lot of sentimental value to me and I need a new battery installed. And also I've had new battery's installed several times in the past at other locations where I lived. She had said that it would be a least a half an hour and if I wanted to leave it. I said no I would wait. Only a few minutes went by and the jeweler started working on my watch. I guess it seemed he was having a problem opening it to get to the battery. So I asked him if it was tuff trying to open he said yes but didn't give up on it and got it opened. He put the new battery in and and it started working again. this brought a big smile to my face. The price was very reasonable and I offered to give him a tip for his sincere care, effort, work and time (no punt intended) he put into it and the way he worked on it like it was his own. But refused a tip. this is why I'm writing this review for this Jeweler and his staff. they were so respectful and nice. So if you need jewelry worked on or new jewelry this is the place to go. God Bless Them. P.S, shop the Mom and Pop stores this helps them and their families not a big...
