Read moreThis place was an absolute horror. My wife and I were the first to be seated at a Hibachi table. 2 more couples came in after us (both with children). No one came over to our table for 15 minutes. I had to flag down the waitress to order drinks. 20 minutes passed. No drinks. The guy seated next to me (who I did not know and who ordered a beer !) started complaining. AGAIN, I had to flag down the waitress. Now, when the waitress finally came around to take our dinner orders, my wife specifically stated that she has a shellfish allergy and DID NOT want the shrimp appetizer. Chef comes out and begins his show. He serves my wife 2 shrimp ! Since the waitress was nowhere to be found, my wife had to actually get up from the table to ask for another plate. I ordered the chicken, steak, shrimp, and lobster entrée ($48). Did not get the shrimp. To get a drink refill was nearly impossible. Finally, check comes : $275.00 ! My wife said "NO WAY" We examined the bill. They charged us for every dinner at our table ! Called the waitress. Told her that these people were not with us and that I did not get the shrimp entrée. She argued with me and promised to adjust the bill. She returns with a check omitting the other guests but AGAIN, charged me for the shrimp. I had to call her back again. Finally got the correct check ($105.95). Handed the cashier $106.00 and walked out. Service was absolutely atrocious and the food was average. Will never even THINK of returning. Recommendation : DO NOT go to this place. If it was possible, I would not even give it one star! In the mood for Hibachi, seek out The Edo in Pelham...
Read moreGreat place to take the family for family friendly Hibacci, the staff are very understanding that toddlers can be scared of fire and will do reduced fire, or no fire, cooking displays to accomodate them.
They have fish which our kids love to look at and feed, and a big "Pirate's Wheel" (ship's wheel, but kids love thinking its a pirate's ship specifically).
For the food, I've only had the Sushi qne Hibacci.
The sushi is excelent!
The Hibacci food was excelent as well, although I will put one caveat on that:
The Hibacci tasted excelent to me prior to us bringing our children, about the same time we started bringing our children and asking for no fire, the food became much more bland.
b I haven't complaigned about this because children really should eat more mild flavorings as they are more sensitive to flavors, and I believe they are just dulling down our food for the kids even though we ever asked them to.
So, if that is just for us, then the food is still excelent, although, it its been changed across the board, then the food has become a little bland, but still high quality.
One other note on food: This is one of those Hibacci where you have to ask, and pay an extra couple of dollars, for fried rice; So make sure to tell whoever takes ypur order that you want some.
For Hibacci, the showmanship is excelent with or without fire, especially for birthdays, they will even give some hats and other props for photos which kids and adults will enjoy.
