East Cuisine Cafe — Restaurant in Townsend

EDIT: to the insane person who gave a bad review because they COULD NOT READ the hours listed for this business - They CLOSE at 2:30 to get ready for the dinner service. They REOPEN at 4:00! It SAYS THAT on their Google page!

I got there10 minutes early the other day and then I realized, "oops, I'm early." I sat in my car and played on my phone. THEN.. at 3:59 (ha ha) they had the open sign on and I went in and MY TABLE WAS ALREADY SET AND WAS WAITING FOR ME. Now THAT's SERVICE!! AND... whoever whined about the 2:30 thing - you should give them another chance but COME DURING THEIR ADVERTISED OPEN HOURS.

This place is amazing! Let's see.... I was there on a Friday in February and then a Saturday in March and then this past Saturday. This is becoming a habit! I have had the sashimi platter and it is sooo much food! I love the white tuna. The salad and soup come WITH the sashimi platter and that is a LOT OF FOOD. The sashimi is so fresh! The service is top-notch. I have had the same server, Bailey, all three times. She is fantastic! She seats me in the same place every time so I am going to claim that table as "MINE." LOL! Stopped in for lunch today for the grand opening. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They had some first day kinks to work out but were doing good. I decided to try a few things to see how this place is and get a lay of the land. I got an order of Vietnamese egg rolls that were outstanding! Chicken in a fried paper thin wrapper with a seriously good sauce. I got chicken and shrimp Hibachi that was very good. White meat chicken and tender shrimp with onions and zucchini. Very good sauce and cooked perfectly. The rice and yum yum sauce was a really good combination. For sushi we got a California roll that was visually stunning and as fresh as it gets. The sticky rice was top notch in the sushi. Our meal also came with a huge salad. I found the prices a little high but after eating it realized it's fresh and high quality food. That I never mind paying for. We needed this place in Townsend. We have lousey food choices and this place is a welcome addition. What a great little place for Japanese delights in Townsend. This is a small, tidy, cute restaurant with very friendly staff, wonderful food and a nice atmosphere. Three of us ordered two dishes to share, the noodles with chicken and a steak & shrimp hibachi plate. Plenty of food for the 3 of us and we couldn't finish it all. Both dishes had great flavor with fresh ingredients and came out hot from the grill. The steak, shrimp and veggies on the hibachi plate were wonderfully charred and I even liked the zucchini which is one of my least favorite foods.
