Overpriced and rude staff. Placed a togo order for pick up around 5 o'clock p.m. On a Friday night for 2 burritos with only beans cheese rice and sour cream, one burrito with only beans cheese and rice and a bowl of tortilla soup . When we picked it up the order came to $38 for 3 tiny burrito's (that didn't even fill up one to go container) and a small to go cup of chicken broth maybe half a cup of shredded chicken and some soggy chips. When I expressed my disappointment that they charge $10 for a small burrito with only beans cheese rice and sour cream the manager got defensive and said they only have one size burrito eith an excuse that they are not a taqueria so their burritos aren't big. I told him for the price and the size that that is ridiculous and he said "no its not" arguing with me the whole-time. I explained to him that I could go to restaurants like La Villa or Jorge's el Tapatio right down the street places that are also "not taquerias" and get gigantic burrito's for that price and $9 for a small cup of soup with only broth shredded chicken and soggy chips, No avacado, no cheese (To their defense I asked for no pico de gallo) is overpriced. I got my money back and I went to Jorge's el tapatio and got the same order but with pozole instead of tortilla soup (they dont have tortilla soup) and got way more food for $7 less . I will try to attach pictures so I don't just sound crazy in the picture of casa grande I dumped the soup into a bowl so that you could see it. The man I spoke to said that it's my fault for ordering there that's how they make the food. Now I know why they were empty (with the exception of two men at the bar not eating) on a...
Read moreThe food is ok, the service is terrible. I went there with a big group for lunch and we also wanted to celebrate my kid's bday by singing happy bday. After we all finished our food, I ordered dessert for the kids but they didn't have flan or chocolate cake - they only had ice cream. I ended up going next door and bought a small desert for the kids to share and sing happy bday. I asked for couple small plates and they said they can't give it to me or they'll have to charge me for soap and water!!! They were serious about it (initially I thought they were joking). Yes, they wanted to charge for soap and water for the extra plates I was asking because I brought desert from outside of the location. Very, very disappointed. No wonder every time we went there the restaurant is...
Read moreThis is our favorite place in Tracy for Mexican food because it has healthier choices such as salmon and halibut (which have also tasted fresh) If you like greasy food this is not the place for you. We love the fish tacos also and their whole beans. When we want to slurge we have the chile relleno and the queso which is a rather large size. We wish the guacamole was bigger in size though. The salsa is excellent. The service is very good and conscientious about checking our needs. Enjoy...
