Management purposefully changed order without telling us and tried to GASLIGHT us. When caught, YELLED and refused to give us a full refund.
My family and I went in to Popeyes yesterday and ordered a 14-piece box of spicy chicken. I bit into one piece and realized it was not spicy at all, so my father went to the counter to ask if there had been a mix up. The manager seemed annoyed and curtly said that the chicken was spicy.
My mom bit into another piece which also wasn't spicy. So, we went to the counter again and this time, the manager raised their voice at us and said that we were complaining about nothing because they gave us spicy chicken. They acted like we were being Karens who couldn't tell the difference between mild and spicy chicken and continued to yell at us.
After a few minutes of arguing back and forth, they finally admitted that they had CHANGED OUR ORDER ON PURPOSE WITHOUT TELLING US. They said that they had run out of spicy chicken and that they replaced 2 pieces with mild. Which would have been totally fine, had they told us. But they didn't tell us, LIED and tried to GASLIGHT us when we politely asked, and acted like we were the crazy Karens for wanting what we had paid for. (Also, we don't know if they only replaced 2 pieces because we only tried 2 of them and they were both mild)
We asked for a refund, and they said that they couldn't give us a full refund because we had already bit into the chicken (despite the chicken NOT BEING WHAT WE HAD PAID FOR).

She sent me out with the coupon to go get it, and we didn't order ahead. Thankfully there was no line, though the parking lot was extremely full. It didn't take me long to find a parking lot though. I got the food relatively quickly, and seeing that they had just taken food out of the fryer I assumed it would be very fresh. Unfortunately when I got home my mom informed me that not only was the food very cold, but it was also hard. The biscuit was essentially a crisp. We ended up throwing away the biscuit, as even water and the microwave couldn't fix it. My mom ended up eating the chicken in the macaroni and cheese but she definitely fixed it a lot. Not sure if this was a one-time thing, but I normally don't eat at Popeyes anyway so I won't have the problem of going...
Read morePoor Management: I ordered online for delivery. The order arrived in time as indicated online. When I opened the bag, there was a piece of chicken outside the box in the bag. I opened the box, it seemed like someone has taken bites from the chicken pieces. I called the location to inform of the issue. I simply narrated what I found and the guy responded so rudely asking me why am I calling him if the driver ate the food. I told him that I am simply informing you so that the business is aware of the issue. But he was not open to hear anything and kept saying not to call here if the driver is eating the food.
My intent was just to inform so they can talk to the 3rd party whose service they are using for food delivery. With rude customer service and risk of someone eating my food, I am sure, I will never order from...
