Satomi — Restaurant in Tracy

I have never had such an incredible poke bowl. The bowl had an excellent amount of fish, toppings, and sauce. I usually tip a couple bucks no matter what, I know post covid some mom and pop shops like this one are still struggling but I never go back and tip more, after trying this bowl I'm the parking lot, I got out of my car, went back inside and left a bigger tip. The lady who served me even gave me some extra chilli crisp, which by the way, was the best tasting Chili crisp I've ever had, forget LGM, forget Fly By Jing. You NEED to have the Satomi chilli crisp. Stop what you're doing and order from here. Or drive in and get yourself a bowl ! The only thing I wish they had was edamame topping for the poke bowl, if they had it, it would be 11/10 but I'll just make...

My kids love Sushi and we were missing Satomi Sushi after moving to Tracy from Fremont. We got excited when we noticed Satomi in Tracy so we visited this restaurant today. I have been to many Sushi restaurants in the Bay Area and this place was the worst amongst all of them. We ordered 2 sushi rolls (caterpillar and gates of hell) and both tasted very bad. Caterpillar was the first one to be served and the rolls were falling apart with no flavor. I informed the waiter about it and he just said sorry and didn’t really care about it. The second roll tasted even worse and it felt like we were eating stale food. I didn’t want my kids to get sick so I decided not to order anything else and leave. I wouldn’t want to visit this...

For some reason I was under the impression that I had already reviewed this place because of all the exciting pictures of food I had taken from this place. I am a full believer in supporting family businesses and this os one of my favorite family run places that ai love going to. The service is amazing and full of love. When we dine here we have our usual that we order and then we try a couple new rolls and dishes. The udon Tofu soup is amazing which is definitely a go to for a cold day.
