Duelers Guild — Attraction in Tracy

This place was horrible. I came a day prior and had some cards that I had did some research on and I had a fair price of about $125 in my head and this is from TCG Pricing as well as their said”7%” For trade and value, but somehow the car only ended up being about $44 and traded value. I didn’t think much about it traded for a card and went upon my way. I had about 10 boxes that I bought from target when they were having the 30% off deal during Christmas decided to take all the packs and tear them open to see what I got. I pulled a bunch of fire cards. I had about four cords on top of the deck when I went in today to see what they were traded in those four cards alone or about $90 when I gave him the whole deck he said where did you get your trade-in value from because he’s only seeing $40 that he can give me for the cards, this is where things start to get funny because I told him that prior day he had told me that he prices his stuff from eBay and he had said no they priced their stuff from TCG. They only do the pricing on graded cards from eBay. I said well that’s even better because TCG sells their cards for a little bit more than what I’m asking when I manually pulled out the cards and searched them up on my own two simple cards were already rounded up to $45. This is where things get more awkward because instead of helping me, he starts to help other people and not even engage in my conversation because he was caught at that point now I feel that the prior day when I came, I was cheated out of my money as well as a card that supposedly ultra $20 that I had sold him for $15 cash And in the middle of that, he decided to go back to. They only do eBay pricing because they were cheaper and then decides to tell me different life stories of how people could just put random prices. I just decided to take my cards elsewhere if you have good cards, I suggest you individually price them and put them inside of a protective cover with the price on the outside, so they don’t try to scam you out of your money. Since one employee already bought a card on his own with personal money suggesting that the store wouldn’t purchase it I already kind of thought was funny so who knows if he only registered a certain amount of cards that I sold him on the first day to the store and kept them for his own or just completely scammed me,...

This is my one and only TCG (trading card game) shop to go to for my family. My wife and I have been thinking about getting into Lorcana but every card shop we have gone to just did not have the right environment and was not welcoming at all. The moment my wife and I stepped into Dueler's Guild they were so welcoming, especially the community! There is a community for every TCG you can think of! If you ever have seen those cool chill card shops in TV shows and Anime and wished there was a place actually like that in real life, THIS IS THAT CARD SHOP. I cannot recommend this shop enough. A community makes or breaks a TCG shop, and I have tried and been to plenty where the staff was not welcoming and did not have any customer service, and there was no community. This shop has it in spades. If you have ever been thinking about getting into a TCG but have no one to play with, you will find people to play with here. And the people working here will take time to teach you and set you up with a starting deck for that game. A Fantastic Place for Games and Community! I can't say enough good things about Duelers Guild! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. What truly sets this store apart is the incredible kindness and enthusiasm of the staff. I had the pleasure of learning how to play Lorcana, and the employees went above and beyond to help me. Both Alex and Seth took the time to sit down with me on separate occasions and patiently explain the game mechanics. Their enthusiasm for Lorcana was contagious, and they made the learning process so enjoyable! I really appreciated their willingness to invest their time in helping a newcomer like me.
