First visit was good. I don't think we had any issues because they were operating with a full menu. Upon a second visit I wanted to order some Take-Out for the family as we were all coming in from work on a Monday (Google showed that they were open). I checked on-line and DoorDash was the only option; very convenient but I am not a fan of a stranger delivering my food. I called the restaurant and got a answering message that said that they do not take orders over the phone (What?). No problem; I drove to The Station and walked up to the counter (as the menu said) and I was told that they only have a buffet tonight and could not take my order from the menu. At this point I walked out disappointed without dinner for the family. (An easy $140-$160 in lost revenue). Having a F&B background I began asking myself why would you let a customer walk out of your establishment disappointed. There was no further communication other than sorry sir and palms facing up. I just walked out shaking my head. This place has huge potential and should have been overflowing as Monday Night football was on TV and the Giants Dodgers Series was about to start.
If you are going to have a buffet or "Monday Night Football Feast!" (My idea) Then offer up a limited menu for those who do not want a buffet and market the hell out of the "Monday Night Football Bash!" (My Idea) using social media.
Get the disappointed customer to return: "Sir bring the family back in and I'll take care of some appetizers or dessert."
Communication: Make sure every avenue to your establishment (Online and phone communication) is constantly updated to keep the customer informed.
The food is good. They have great beer on tap and the counter workers are very polite but this establishment needs a better marketing plan for visibility and communication. The restaurant business is not easy and you must have a solid infrastructure in place to keep revenue flowing.
Formal greeting upon entry: Have a podium or something to greet the customers so they don't mill around as they try to figure out how to order food and drinks.
Send some walkers out to some of the new home communities with flyers with an incentive to bring people in. (ie: Free Appetizer with Two Entrees, Monday Night Football Bash etc.). Most of the new homes in the area are being purchased by people out of town. Guide them and they will come.
I like The Station and I hope that the owners/operators will use this advice constructively. I will be back at some point.

Read moreWow, just wow, do not eat here. Patronize a business that appreciates its customers.
I dont care about how the food is, the energy inside this place is bad. I was not addressed as I walked into the building and up to the bar, asking if the bar is open seating, the bartender seemed confused and said go ahead, do you want something to drink? I set my things down and told her I'd like to look after I use the restroom. She did not greet me upon my return, eventually after looking at me strangely for a few moments she asks what I'll have to drink.
The bartender seemed to have a negative attitude as I'm asking to see a list of the wide variety of beers on tap, since you don't know what the beer is from looking at the handle. Shes just patronizing as she tells me these are what they are, I told her I can't tell what kind of beer it is from the handle. I asked if they had a stout, she said we have Guinness in a bottle, I jokingly told her that doesnt count, its winter and you're supposed to have stouts during the winter. When a woman I came to realize must have been the manager interrupts to say that no one drinks them repeating herself 3x interrupting me as i try to respond, then asks me if I'm going to come in and have one everyday because they dont sell. I just said wow, gathered my belongings and left, stating that this behavior was both rude and unprofessional.
Times are tough, prices are going up on everything, no one wants to be spoken to or treated this way when they are splurging to spend the money on treating themselves and going out.
I actually came in to eat, but at no point was I offered a menu, or asked about food, and after my experience I had...
Read moreThis is my first time to order food here. I placed my order at the counter with a very pleasant lady. I order the burger with fries. I upgraded the order to the Blue Cheese fries and my mouth was watering to taste them. We also ordered the sausage platter and the Blueberry salad. Unfortunately it was all to go, and when I got home, I found that the people cooking in the back must have missed my upgrade. I called back and let them know about missing the blue cheese and they were really quick to make things right. They tried to apply credit to my card, but taking off one item was not in the cards. They took my name and put into the system and will comp me the next time I am in there. Now for the food "OUTSTANDING" ... The burger was huge, tasted fantastic and worth every penny. The same is true for the sausage platter and salad. The Station is contemporary as far as its layout and is really a nice place. I think "The Station" is a big hit. I am looking forward to have a beverage...
