Really had high hopes from all the positive reviews. Planning a party & wanted to try 1911 bbq as a possible caterer. Visited Saturday 7/9 around 6:15pm. Called in for takeout. The woman who assisted me was super nice. Ordered about $90 worth of food. The little bit of everything (full) with Yams & baked beans. Added pulled pork, seasonal veggies, collard greens, Mac n cheese, & coleslaw. The Good - the Brisket was moist, well cooked and seasoned. The baked beans were a nice surprise, the green pepper really improved the flavor. Collard Greens were also well prepared & flavorful. The chicken was nicely smoked & flavorful (but on the dry side). Pulled pork was decent, but very wet. Yams were ok. Underseasoned & like many items we received looked nothing like pictures others had shared. The Bad - we didn't get the Cole Slaw we ordered. The Ribs were like rubber! Totally inedible. Not sure if they were boiled, left in a steamer to long, or reheated to many times (in a microwave?). Totally wrecked the meal. Mac n cheese was dry and lacked flavor. The seasonal veggies appeared to be steamed, like the mixed steamed in a bag broccoli, carrots, & cauliflower you get at the supermarket. They were sprinkled wth bbq seasoning (same as ribs?). Ended up with a lot of left overs (that we threw away).

My recent experience of take out at 1911 smokehouse in Trenton left much to be desired, as the overall quality and flavor of food failed to impress. I was dismayed to find that the meat was cold upon arriving at home a 10 minute drive from the restaurant, significantly detracting from the enjoyment of the meal. The baked beans and the mac and cheese were dry and unappealing, and the potato salad was riddled with hard chunks that made it difficult to eat. The lackluster quality of the dishes was a major disappointment, as I had been hoping for a satisfying barbecue feast. The meats were overcooked and lacked the juicy tenderness that is characteristic of well-prepared barbecue fare. The only saving grace of my visit to the 1911 smokehouse was the friendly service provided by the staff. Despite the culinary shortcomings. In conclusion, my experience at the 1911 smokehouse was highly disappointing. The cold, unappetizing food left much to be desired, and the overall quality of the dishes fell short of what one would expect from a barbecue restaurant. While the service was friendly, it was not enough to salvage the subpar food quality. My experience with the food has left me feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return or order from the 1911 smokehouse in the future.

The lady who took my order was very rude. And when I arrived nobody could locate my order. They asked me my name, and after about 10 minutes of standing in a tiny area they asked me what my order was which was 3 items that were already finished. Also wanted to add there is absolutely no parking that is easy to find if you’re not from the area. And since I was in front of a fire hydrant, waiting for an order that was placed 35-40 minutes in advance is very disappointing. The food was very disappointing, if you like your yams like mashed potatoes go here. They aren’t too bad tho. the greens were definitely missing flavor I had to add lot of hot sauce maybe bc I’m used to meat in mine but I’ve had meatless greens that were better. I paid $17 and I wish I would’ve taken my money somewhere els since that area is packed with good restaurants with nice people. I give 3 stars bc the wings were good I got the honey saricha sauce. Was lacking stickiness the sauce didn’t hold onto the wings very well. I like the general tso sauce but they never add enough. So I wanted to try something new. All in all I would rather take my money somewhere els since these people don’t seem to respect you nor your money.

Very unfriendly towards persons with diabilities!!!! Had it not been for a new waiter, very nice young man, li would not have stayed or ordered anything. I ordered a full dinner ribs and 2 sides extra order of corn bread 2 non alcoholic drinks and still it wasn't enough to command any respect from whom I was told was the proprietor.. after receiving my meal, a woman and man removed the canopy that was above me. How rude!! This is tantamount to a restaurant allowing you to order near closing time , serving you the food and then seeping around the table. The little man, who said the tables belonged to him, said he wanted his table because he was ready to go. He asked me if I would put my food on a different small dirty round table. I told him HE'LL NI!! YOU SHOULDN'T H:AVE SERVED ME DINNER. THEN (BIG FOOT ) comes over to tell me that the tables belong to this 3 ft. Tall man, and he was ready to leave!! I told them both that I didn't give one happy F* if they wanted my food moved they better call the waiter who put It there!!! At this point ( BIG troll) again issued what he must have thought was a cable threat that would frighten me. FAT CHANCE BOZO!!!@ I INVITED HIM AND THE LITTLE YROLL FOM THE RONG TO TRY TOUCHING MY FOOD AND I GUARUNTEE THEM THEY WOULD NEVER REPEAT SUCH AN ACT AS LONG AS THEY BOTH SHALL LIVE!!! EMTER, MY WAITER WHO WAS MORE THAT WILLING TO MOVE MY FOOD FOR ME I ASKED FOR A FOGGIE BAH FOR THE DOGBATBHOMEBWHO DOESN'T EXIST., I THREW THE FOIX AWAY WHICH WAS ACTUALLY A SHAME BECAUSE IT WAS VERY GOOD BUT AS I TOLD BIGFOOT. I WOULD NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!! ENTER, MY WAITER, WHO WAS WUITE THE EYE CANDY, YOUNG, HANSOME, HREAT PEOPLE SKILLS APOLOGIZED FOR THE FISRESPECT AND INCONVENIENCE. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS NEW AND I ASKED HIM WHEM HE WORKED AGAIN AND HE SAID SSTIRFAY BECAUSE OF HIM I WILL RETURN SATIRDAY AND ORDER EARLIER. AS FOR BIG FOOT. TO. PIN A PHRASE, HE CAN...

My fiance and I order from this place very frequently, I say in the past 4 months we have ordered to go meals at least 10 times. Out of the 10 experiences three of them stand out the most and mainly because the food was beyond subpar. Experience #1: We both ordered burgers, mine with cheese his without, and both burgers were very bland. I mean no flavor at all. The lettuce were "micro" greens which wilted because of the heat of the burger and tasted more like bag salad and turned bitter after sitting on a hot burger. Experience #2: We came there, we got the wings with the Honey Harlem Shake sauce, well unlike the other times we got the smoked wings, these wings tasted like lighter fluid and were offensively charred. Experience #3: We got a burger again because between the 1st and this last experience we got a very delicious burger but this time the burger was beyond horrific. The burger was dry, had mixed micro greens again and had packaged cheese that didn't even melt slapped on top of it.There was also some guy walking out of the kitchen with a black and mild hanging out of his mouth. It was so horrible that we have decided to NEVER come back again. On the contrary there were some positive experiences (the other 7 times) and some very delicious items such as the fried mushrooms, the Honey Harlem Shake sauce, and the sauce that accompanies the fried mushrooms. Even though the prices are beyond reasonable, the negative experiences were awful enough that it has now made this smokehouse a no go...

I forgot to take photos, I will try to remember next time. I know my order was huge and I should have given them more time before going to the place. I will do so next time. The bar and atmosphere is warm and friendly. I was greeted and treated kindly while I waited for my food to be done. All the meat was great. I enjoyed the ribs, chicken, wings, and my husband said the brisket was good. I do have to say the greens were not to our liking, but after reading the other reviews I get why now. They weren't bad, just missing that neck bone flavor or some form of meat influence. The potato salad wasn't bad but felt missing as well. Both were still great with the meat and we enjoyed our meal. I think it was more on us than them. The cauliflower pizza was great and I enjoyed it greatly. The empanadas were good too! I do have to say, I think the ribs, whole chicken, and empanadas could have been cooked slightly longer. Again, personal preference I suppose. Still the flavors were there and I can't wait to go back. Of course this time giving more time, so not to rush greatness. :-) It really is a great experience. I will go again because the customer service is great as well. They forgot the corn muffins, but called me to let me know (I hadn't made it home yet to find out). I was truly impressed with the follow up. I had my husband pick them up because he was still in the area. They were great. I do love vegan and vegetarian options. I can't wait to see more and don't want...
