McMenamins Edgefield Winery & Tasting Room — Restaurant in Troutdale

I'm not sure if we were unlucky or something else but we did not enjoy the food or the service. The place was packed but the food is very sub-par. Their online menu does not reflect what the actually have, so that disappointed my spouse.

We ordered confit rabbit and Bolognese ravioli and a side of asparagus. We ordered bread as a starter. The waitress brought only the appetizer and my rabbit Bolognese, and asked us if she forgot something. We were confused so we mentioned we haven't received the asparagus yet. Then we realized she hasn'tshe didn't account for the ravioli. We told her and she came back quickly with some ravioli. She said she grabbed someone else's but we could tell it was just forgot because it was barley warm. She then blamed a recent cyber security attack on their ordering system.

The food was all bland luke warm. I don't complain much but the food was just not great. The waitress ran my spouse's card and said it was declined. There is plenty of money to cover this now overvalued meal.

They have a couple places to eat on the compound and I can't attest to their food.

Please be careful. This location is no joke… do some research about the edge field location before visiting, if you choose to spend the night bring sage and cleanse yourself, and your area. If you have the misfortune of being in the room I did with the painted faces on the ceiling don’t look them in the eyes. I was a kid and my mom had my wedding here.. All spiritually sensitive souls steer clear. Guidance gifts, portals, seers, and the unspoken survivors, if you come here then only come here with the intent to work, if you come here for fun, then come protected. I can’t even place the energy.. I can’t even tell you what followed me back from there. All I know is what it did to me and my family. This isn’t no warrens the conjuring stuff.. this is a bridge between the darkness of life and the absence of soul.. great food tho? Ghost hunters, don’t be dumb. This isn’t your kitschy venue. A fun and lively place to taste local wine, McMenamins Edgefield Winery is always worth a visit. I’ve been a few times and always enjoy the laid-back atmosphere — and if you’re lucky, you might catch some live music, which adds to the charm. The only downside is that when the music is playing, it can get pretty loud, making it less ideal if you’re hoping for quiet conversation.

The food, served at the Black Rabbit Bar, is always excellent. Whenever I eat there, I make sure to order the Dry-Fried Chicken Wings made with soy, ginger, and Thai chili — you really can’t go wrong with these! The service can be a little on the slow side, but it’s always worth the wait.
