Cafe Sushi — Restaurant in Troy

I can't believe I've driven past this place a million and one times and never thought to come here. I only new about them thru Door Dash. They screwed up my first order but the food was really good. They missed an item in my order and charged me. Then sent me the wrong item. Anyway, Door Dash gave me a full refund for there mistakes. If you haven't gone here I highly recommend you try there chicken egg rolls they come with a fresh plum sauce. That sauce should be illegal. Its amazingly deliciously delightful! FYI if you want extra sauce they will charge you extra. :-( they also have these lobster or crab egg rolls with that same plum sauce.. friggin out of this world good. Expensive tho. I'm in love with the re e sushi salad and ginger sauce I always order extra avacados and extra tomatoes and have them add cucumbers.. they do charge extra for any add ons :-( place can get pricey real quick.. I also have ordered there duck soup really good. I haven't had anything I don't like as of yet! Awesome place! Walked in to pick up my take out a few times seems clean ..never...

Amazing staff and food! The bento box at lunch time is a really great deal with hefty (and delicious) portions, as well as a decent variety of choices for someone who's a picky eater. I made sure to order sushi as well, and you could absolutely tell from the smell and taste that the fish was fresh, I was in sushi heaven! I ended up getting desert because everything else was amazing, and wasn't disappointed in that department either. The mochi ice cream was delicious!

And even though the food is the most important part, the staff really sold the place for me. Our waitress (Brooke, you are awesome!) didn't just serve us, she really knew her stuff, and brought me a sauce to try for my sushi that turned out to be amazing! They also remodeled recently according to the waitress, and it looks beautiful. I felt so relaxed that after eating I wanted a nice nap!

I can't wait to come back here. I really recommend...

Made an order over the phone for three items for carry-out. The total should have been $26.00. Went to Cafe Sushi, and the total was $40.00 at time of pick-up. The lady said that the prices went up, though their menu was not updated on their site. She and four other employees surrounded me as I tried to explain that someone should have stated over the phone the prices are incorrect (or had increased), to which the lady said there was no need to. Unprofessional from the staff as the lady started to raise her voice.

To the staff/owner of Cafe Sushi. You need to be transparent. If your prices increased, that's fine, notify your customers, over the phone or in-person. Update your menu on your website with the new pricing. All of this could have been avoided had you been upfront with the expectation on the pricing changes. Do not raise your voice to your customers.
