My friend and I have been coming to this hotel for our annual shopping trip for at least 15 years, maybe more. This review reflects the hotel since the most recent renovations ||Where do I start? I guess to say that I am disappointed in Hilton. These Reno’s have been a downgrade from their usual quality. We had a room with two queen beds. We used to look so forward to the comfortable accommodations when we would come every year. They have changed the mattresses and the bedding and it’s not good. The mattresses are no longer comfortable, and the bedding is poor quality and very scratchy. The pillows which Hilton was reknown for, are no longer. They now have basic easily flattened pillows on the beds. And they only put three pillows on the bed instead of four. The new TVs are not very user friendly, although they do have access to Netflix etc now which is nice. ||The sofa is literally as hard as rock. Like no impression made in the cushions when you sit. Very uncomfortable to sit for any length of time. No real changes in the kitchenette area, love having that in the room for our extended stay. ||The room overall in its entirety just looks “sterile” and not cozy like it used to. ||As for the breakfast buffet, it was average. The morning we were there, hotel was pretty busy. There were several people filling their plates for breakfast when the buffet attendant came in, shut the lights off of the buffet area and proceeded to remove the hot buffet foods and trays of bread/muffins etc, even though people were still in there, finishing up, filling their plates, like they were literally taken out from under them. When we mentioned to the woman that she might want to wait until people that were currently in the buffet area finished filling their plates, there was no reaction. She just continued doing what she was doing, and looked absolutely miserable.|So, yea…that was rude ||Lena as the front reception was wonderful, very amenable and professional. ||Anyway, location is top notch. Very convenient to everything around. But we have decided to research and see if we can find another Hilton somewhere else to try out for next year. Hopefully this is a one off and not permanent changes for all of the Hiltons because if so, they’ve lost my business. Unfortunately, customer service and quality is what people are really seeking since it is so lacking in many areas both personal and professional these days, so Hilton has to decide if it is worth losing your customer base to save a few bucks so your CEO’s can have a...
Read moreUpdate memorial Day weekend 2023 we decided to stay here again.
This hotel is starting to show its age and it's falling apart wallpapers peeling in the rooms inconsiderate trashy people are littering in the parking lot and playing loud music what appears to be bums or hanging out near the entrance from the parking lot.
Seems like every time we stay here this property slips one notch down the class scale.
Oh yeah two security lights in the parking lot were burnt out We had to park in a dark area also the message light indicator on our room's telephone kept blinking red indicating there was a message we tried calling and then we got a fast busy signal.
Tried calling the front desk and got a fast busy signal.
We have stayed at this property almost 10 times in the past and have had no issues until the last stay which was last October 2021.
There were two issues that weekend that both woke us up out of bed at 8:00 a.m..
The first issue on the first morning was somebody in the room above us operating power tools as if they were assembling or disassembling a bed. 8:00 in the morning are you kidding me?
The second issue the very next morning at 8:00 in the morning some idiot lawn service is mowing the lawn outside our window and woke us up.
I hold the hotel responsible for allowing the lawn service to do it at that hour.
If someone from corporate reads this you might want to contact the property itself and make sure that their lawn service doesn't mow the lawn at 8:00 in the morning only an inconsiderate idiot would do that next to somebody's hotel room.
We love that property and its location however we are strongly considering changing locations and not staying...
Read moreALOT of construction happening at the hotel which means you can forget sleeping in because you will be awaken by the sound of pounding and drilling. The walls are thin and you can hear your next door neighbors business. The back parking lot was full of construction materials and dangerous to walk-through not to mention that we saw rats late at night, crawling in and out of the construction trailers. Parking is scarce. Our room was on the first floor and the second floor sprung a leak from the construction. As a result, our bathroom was leaking from the ceiling. We had to call maintenance. The kitchen staff forgot what time breakfast closed and they ended up closing it early so we had to wait for more food to be made, but by the time it was ready we had to leave so we missed out on breakfast. They obviously don’t clean up the breakfast tables after guests leave as they were dirty & sticky. I was expecting a package to be delivered and the manager took my phone number and said someone would text me and let me know. I waited and I never received a notification that the package was delivered. I had to go to the counter and inquire myself. Cleaning / maid service is every other day so if you need extra towels, toilet paper or your trash picked up, you constantly have to call the front desk for service. The dishes/utenails that the room provides were dirty. They had two washing machines for the whole hotel and one of them was out of order, which was never disclosed to us ahead of time. They did discount $50 off our total bill after our 9 night stay. We really weren't impressed at all and do not think we will be returning...
