Cute, clean, great service with a smile. It's small but super cozy. Very limited menu.
The sandwiches have a generous portion of ingredients and you can tell they are made to order.
I had the chicken salad sandwich. Very good, the bun was fresh and soft, plenty of chicken salad, fresh lettuce and even the tomato was good (I usually take them off). I really have to get over the price of everything these days but I think for $6.49 I won't complain. The other ladies had a BLT and a Tuna Salad sandwich and they said both were very good.
If you're passing anywhere near Troy MO you ABSOLUTELY MUST stop here for their fresh made pies. My taste buds were over the moon with the chocolate pie. It's a dark chocolate pie that I seriously would have eaten the entire pie instead of only 1 piece and just dealt with the suffering of being on a sweet overload. The crust is sooo flaky, the chocolate is robust and I hate meringue but left it on for the first bite - thankfully. Finished the pie and the meringue.
One of the other ladies had the coconut cream pie and I'll have to say it looked scrumptious and she said it was great. They said they made something like over 250 pies for Thanksgiving and I can see why.
Can't wait to go back and I must know; is it butter or lard to make the crust?
You will not be...
Read moreWe walked into this place this morning, told the lady this was our first time in... she looked somewhat confused and then motioned around like, "just sit somewhere, dummy" and we sat down. Not anything like, "thanks for coming in and trying us, yadda yadda" or just being cordial even. She dropped some menus and got the drinks, two glasses of tap water. In-between us ordering and being given our food, a man came in and was served before us, and the two people after us got their food seconds after ours which we had been waiting on for about 10 minutes. She walked by later and dropped an almost empty bottle of syrup from Walmart on the table while she walked the full one over to another. At no point did I feel like we were wanted or appreciated for trying this tiny place, and 100% will not come back. The waitress was rude right up until it was time for us to pay and maybe get that tip. But no. I'll skip your one napkin wrapped around the end of some silverware Jesus nightmare...
Read moreThe pies this lady makes are home made with love! You can tasty it. Best pies I've ever bought. I can make a pretty mean pie myself, but to pay someone it usually does not taste as good. These pies are to good! Hubby got a sugar free cherry( for health reasons), me if you can make a lemon meringue pie like my mom... Every bite was a memory for me as a kid when mom made her lemon pie. Have not had one that good since she past on. Made with love can and does take request, you'd be surprised what she can do. My next request is Grape pie, another old fashion pie that my mom would make. They do serve breakfast and lunch. Have not tried that yet. Other customers were enjoying their meal. What is awesome was a waffle the size of my whole toaster, and smelled as good as it looked! They also do cup cakes and cake pops. Good price, great service, excellent pies! Highly recommended!
