Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store — Restaurant in Troy

NEVER COMING BACK! ..coz I was accused of stifling money and malpractice when I produced two stale milk bottles well within best before. Most of the time my experience there has been better than pleasant, but today’s experience was way below I had ever had in any store, Here are the details of` incident. On 6/13 about 1:30 pm I went there with two stale bottles of organic 2% milk with best before date of 6/16. There was this new guy in grey shirt (at least I have came across him first time in last 3 years) who completely refused to accept that the milk is stale and asked for receipt and proof of purchase, for which I told you can check my account I am a ecstatic member, hestarted giving reason we can not access data due to your own safety. I told him about 5 months back similar incident happened with organic whole milk at that time no one asked for receipt for which he first accused me of doing this regularly and then told that last person did not do his job correctly I insisted on stale milk then he again accused me of trying to stifle $15 from the him, and all this with sly humiliating way, didnt want to argue by further I told ok give me the return of the six bottle and the crate for which he again told we give these crates free, whereas I bought two red creates $5 each , again his response was I give it free to all my customers , this was 2nd discrepancy and it was getting too much to make him understand anything so I left all the bottle and left the store . I was coming here once a week and getting a strawberry soft serve shake and this went on for months until I noticed my pants weren't fitting right which is inevitable, so I slowed it down to about every 2 weeks this place is great! I get oberweis home delivery once a week so I have no complaints with any of their products and as for this shop in particular, it's great! No complaints whatsoever! Very clean inside as well as the bathrooms. You can sit inside or outside to eat and they also have 2 or 3 tables with chessboards that are made within the tabletops. Pretty cool. But like always with good deserts ...there sometimes comes long waits. Not every time but more so a few hours before they close and on weekends. I've gotten in line before where there was 15 people. But the people working are pretty fast. All employees I've dealt with were very courteous. Would I recommend this place?...

I did not know what to expect from a locally owned and made ice cream shop. Oberweis is an unknown gem for ice cream. The taste and texture for their ice cream beats out competition.

Dairy Queen doesn’t come close to their shakes. The richness of each soft served ice cream is so good. Each bite needs to taken on its own.

The taste is similar to cold stone. But some how Oberweis gets something a little better in their ice cream.

The store is always clean and family friendly, including a chess/checkers table to challenge a friend while eating.

There is a daily cake that I would recommend. However, I have a hard time eating both a scoop of ice cream and a slice of cake in the same sitting, it isn’t impossible.
