I have been here twice, once with just my wife and once with the wife and kids - both times were terrible experiences. I understand that with the pandemic things can take longer and the servers are stretched thin, but this was inexcusable. We were seated nearly right when we walked in, sat down with the family and they said that our server would be right there to take our drink orders - about 15 minutes passed and finally someone came by and took our drink order...then we waited another 15 minutes and I had to flag down a different server to see what happened to our original server - they came out from the back as asked what we would like...they totally forgot about our drinks, so we reordered them and they came out fairly quickly. Then the server disappeared again and after another 20 minutes (if you are counting we are 50 minutes in already) the "manager" (not sure who exactly he was but he was dressed in normal clothes) asked if we wanted to order. He took our order and disappeared for a while...now I don't see him or our original server - Now we are well over an hour with no food. I have to go to another server and ask if they could check on our food. Our original server comes out from the kitchen and asks us what we would like to order for food. I told her that we ordered about 30 minutes ago with the guy - she went back into the kitchen and came back out to tell us that it was never entered, but she could take our order now...I told her that just give me the bill for the drinks and we will be leaving. She gave me the bill and I went to go pay and waiting in line at the register, they did say that the drinks were on the house. I will never go there again - there were so many other things that were wrong at this visit, I don't have time to go over everything that happened, but this Big Boy is not well managed at all. Read moreWe went there for the seafood buffet. Called ahead to see what time it started. We were told 5:00pm & we got there at 4:45. They were at about 25% of their capacity at MOST. Well the seafood bar looked pretty bad. Alot of almost empty pans. The ones that did have food looked pretty dry. I talked to the manager and he got right on it by having more & fresh stuff put out. I thought that would be the end of it and we'd leave happy. We had a VERY odd encounter with another employee though. She saw our plates at the end of our table waiting to be bused. Some with food still on them, some not. She went on to tell me her displeasure of wasted food & people starving and that's not how she does things. After my initial shock I told her WHY the plates still had food, that it was from the dried out stuff prior to the manager putting out fresh stuff. The manager wasn't to far away and got wind of what had ODDLY just transpired. After he was made aware of the full conversation he replied, "yea she's a little off". Well off or not, that's not appropriate for staff to lecture customers on their beliefs. Maybe if they don't work so well with customers put them in the kitchen rather than the front of the house. Read moreI received bad customer service but I don't understand why. It wasn't crowded and it was just me. A short female server with glasses and hair in a bun. I left a .25 tip bc she didn't check on me once. There's a male server with glasses who's great. But yesterday my server sucked. It was weird and disappointing. I wanted hash browns with my meal. I said it 2x. She said I should get the "Slam." She brought my meal without the hash browns and tells me it's not part of the "Slam." She asked if I still wanted them. I said yes, but I wanted them with my meal. I thought they would follow shortly. Someone else brings them out...20 minutes after I started eating!! So I said "no thank you." I was 90% finished! She never apologized. She walked by, didn't ask how my meal was. Instead, she stuck check on the side of my face from the back of my head, stating "I took the hash browns off the check." No apologies. No thank you. I over tipped (twenty five cents). I'm planning to call to understand if I did something wrong to cause server to be so bad. I had to get up and beg for butter with my french Toast i ordered because she ignored me the entire meal. I want to ask her did I do something to make her service...
