Waffle House — Restaurant in Troy

We over slept and missed breakfast at our hotel. We tried them out. When we walked in we saw a couple of empty tables in the back corner as we were walking back we saw they were dirty and decided to sit at the low bar in Ms Lanaiya section. She was very friendly and attentive. Once we sat another elderly couple tried to sit in one of the tables we saw but Ms Kim told them they couldn’t sit there because she had to clean them (at this time we had already been sitting at our table for a good 5 mins) they took a seat in the waiting chairs after 20 mins of waiting they got up and left 10 mins later another couple came in and tried to sit Ms Kim told them they couldn’t sit there because she had to clean them so they waited for 15 mins and left. Ms Lanaiya had 3 tables she was waiting on had gotten our order our food out refills had checked out several customers and cleaned 2 tables and washed the dishes from those tables. While Ms Kim waited on her 1 table and talked. When we left an hour after going in Ms Kim was just cleaning those tables off. Y’all need to give Ms Lanaiya a raise and have a Sit down with Ms Kim and explain how incredibly rude it is to make people sit and wait for a table you don’t plan...

WORST WAFFLE HOUSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I’ve been in Waffle Houses full of drunks, fighting employees, angry customers, full and empty restaurants. I’ve never had this bad of an experience.

I sat at the bar. Didn’t get noticed for almost 10mins. Not even a hello. Wasn’t asked if I wanted anything to drink. Just “what you ordering?” No silverware given. Had to ask for that. Guess I gotta eat with my hands or bring my own. Ordered the Delmonico steak. I got half of an overcooked NY Strip instead. I’m not a steak expert, but I’m sure serving a half a steak and calling it something else is not good. (Found out later they were either out or low on the Delmonico’s and the lady on the grill was just using half to keep going. Not smart.) Serving cold toast (the butter didn’t even melt) that’s slightly burnt is never a good thing.

It was Sunday, and I know that’s a busy day, but having an unorganized and uncoordinated staff does more harm than good. I would have been better off eating oatmeal at home. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS...

As our food was being brought out, a roach crawled out from under the napkin holder and proceeded to run all over the table. All the waitress did was stare and say she didn't deal with bugs. There were 3 adults in my party and none of us knew how to handle the situation. I finally put the syrup container on top of the roach to at least stop it from running around the table. None of us knew what to do with it and our waitress didn't help at all, just continued bringing our food out. We finally killed it ourselves when it was clear that we wouldn't be receiving any help from the staff. I'm not even sure if a manager was there. Will NEVER go back to that Waffle House and may not visit...
