Mex on Main — Restaurant in Trumbull

as I walked in, no greeting, which is fine, even as I walked to the register, though, still no greeting as I was looking at the menu, I was kind of surprised no one said anything to me. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, I walked closer to the register to be ready to order and still no one said anything to me, the lady at the register continued punch in keys on the register, and never once acknowledged that I was standing there. I was the only person in the store, and there were two employees that saw me even as I walked out and asked “nobody sees me standing here?” They still just sat there and act like they did not hear it or see anyone. We just ordered on the phone, they understood what we wanted. I showed up, they handed me a bag. I was getting salsa when I realized there was guacamole, not the queso that I ordered. They were telling me we were wrong even though the receipt said otherwise. They said we are giving you this for free we went home a little upset but nothing that bad we opened up our food. Then we see it is completely wrong. Not what we ordered at all, even though the person helping me was 100% sure it was. After I left an 18% tip I am beyond frustrated. It's a waste of $30 and now I don't want to eat that wrong food because it has things that I dislike overall just a horrible experience. If there is a way I could leave -5 stars I would. Horrible...

We are building a house around the corner and decided to give Mex on Main at try. Overall, it was a very pleasant fast causal Tex Mex that reminded me a bit of a Baja Fresh. Thr crunchy tacos were crispy with well seasoned meat and fresh toppings. The rice was fluffy and nicely seasoned. The black beans were meh, but a liberal application of hot sauce and pico helped.

The salsa bar had a good selection of options, although I wasn't a fan of sweet tasting classic salsa. The other salsas was more to my taste and a good companion...
