I am writing to share my disappointment with a recent experience at your establishment. Our large group was celebrating an event, and the beginning of the evening was quite enjoyable. However, our interaction with the manager significantly detracted from our experience.
We had a group of small children on the large swing, being gently pushed by an older child, with three parents standing approximately four feet away, actively supervising. The manager initially walked by and thanked us for being diligent in watching our children. Moments later, he returned and instructed the young man pushing the swing to sit down with his parents. When we inquired why, the manager was abrupt and unprofessional. He accused us of not supervising our children, despite our close proximity and active engagement. He mentioned a sign requiring parents to accompany children at all times, which we were doing. His solution was that we all return to our tables seemed to defeat the purpose of having an open area for guests to mingle.
Additionally, the manager referenced a previous incident he did not witness and appeared to assume it involved our children simply because they were the only ones present upon his arrival. It seemed evident that the manager has a general dislike for children, regardless of their behavior. Perhaps a 21+ age restriction would be more suitable for this establishment.
As a result of this negative interaction, our party of over 40 people decided to pay our bills and relocate our celebration to Prost Beer & Wine down the street, where we received a warm welcome and our business was appreciated.
I felt it was important to share this experience. If you are a patron with children considering visiting this establishment, I would recommend reviewing the negative feedback and the manager's tacky responses before making a decision. His dismissive responses to reviews show his lack of care for customer experiences. Based on our recent experience suggests that your time might be better spent elsewhere, where your...
Read moreWe went to Easide Brewing Co. to meet a few family members today and didn't even get to step one foot inside before the owner very rudely confronted us. They have new signage stating that their brewery is not a play-yard, no outside beverages & food allowed inside (understandable). However we had our 16 month old daughter with us (being held) and before we even made it into the establishment the owner confronted us at the door, asked us if we understood that their establishment was not a playground (spotted my daughters ball in her bag) told us (very rudely) that we may as well put that back in the car because she was not allowed to play with it in their open yard space that nobody was occupying. Told me to put my water cup back in my car because people were sneaking alcohol on their premises (teenagers??). I am a 35 year (professional business women) which I shouldn't even have to state btw but for context I am not a teenager bringing an un-ruly child into this establishment to bother others. If I want to drink a cup of liquor I’d do that at home not bother to drive to a brewery?? I have completed two ale-trails, visited every brewery in Ohio and surrounding states and I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect before even stepping food into an establishment as I have tonight. There is a reason why some breweries remain on-top (wolfs ridge, seventh son, hoof hearted, zaftig and many others) because they respect their craft and their customers. You built a brewery in a suburb across from a YMCA and a park and you are angry that people bring their children with them to have a couple beers at (4pm might I add not at night). If you don't want children on your property it is very easy to make your establishment 21+ and it would have been appreciated to know before driving there and wasting our time. Please take a second look at your financial business model looking forward from one accountant to an ill advised business owner when driving away business from an already...
Read moreReally GOOD TIME at Eastside! Another hidden gem in the C-bus area. Nice, relaxing hang out with good craft beer and good comfort food.
Not a large place by any means, but it can accommodate your group of friends for an evening of social engineering. Noise was quiet to moderate, but not at all hard to hear conversation across the table.
The Craft Beer is definitely worth a try, and there was a GOOD (not great) variety of hops to choose to suit your particular taste. I thought the brown ale was especially tasty (it is actually called "Nut Brown"... check it out on Untappd). Smooth, light, and easy to drink. Paired well with our food.
Speaking of food... Eastside now has Slab food truck inside. Great selection of wings, burgers and ribs. I had the buffalo wings, and they were SOLID. Really paired well with the Nut Brown Ale. Our group had a variety of items from the Slab menu, and everyone ENJOYED the food, so no complaints on any of the grub that complements the grains!
If you're looking for a nice outdoor venue during good weather, this is the place! They have a large outdoor area well shaded to enjoy time with friends and family and the weather.
This gets a CHECK IT OUT for sure. They are definitely on their way to success. Quality beer with quality food makes for a delicious combination. Who knows, this could become your new hang out, haunt, or...
