Some how, some way, someone figure out a way to bring a "New York" SoHo vibe to Reynoldsburg, Ohio and it's leaving patrons and residents alike...STARSTUKT in it's wake!

Jaleel Washington, Lead Designer and co-owner of StarStukt Apparel has a "minalistic rawness" to his design approach. Imagine simple design theory juxtaposed against a sudden burst of energy, that would be the Starstrukt brand. While this may sound chaotic and unrefined, that viewpoint changes immediately upon meeting the other half of Starstrukt Apparel, Deana Washington. Her experience achieving professional success as a high ranking executive within Tween Brand, Inc, speaks to the discipline and hard work needed to even be brave enough to enter into such a competitive marketplace. She is quick to advise that the vision of Starstrukt is a part of Jaleel's spirit, she just manages how spiritual and efficient that vision can be.

The Starkstrukt business model is essentially where they take pre-made heat transfers and place them on the different apparel options they carry, allowing the customer to take part in the design of the of clothing. This is where the "Starstrukt" connection is made for the customer, they can take immediate pride in that piece of clothing that they helped to create.

This take on retail apparel, while not new in some circles, is still a refreshing alternative to the "big box" stores who just position different brands and messages i an attempt to "overwhelm" the individual shopping experience. There is no personal connection for the buyer, just a "buy me" because I'm trending approach.

I recently messed up an order for my son’s baseball team uniform. The online shop that we bought from wasn’t willing to assist in a one person re-order for us. In a panic (and with their first game a week away) I called in to Starstrukt.

Three things stood out to me:

Deane and her son were some of the nicest business owners I’ve met. Passionate about what they do and engaging to talk to.

They not only were able to customize a 3 color jersey logo, but they got it done so fast! Deane worked off of a blurry phone pic I sent her and duplicated exactly what was needed for the Jersey. Thank you!

I ended up buying a custom sweatshirt in the shop at checkout unrelated to the baseball jersey. The one of a kind design and style Starstrukt has is fantastic. I’m a fan of their “keep going” collection.

I’ve ordered four different pieces from this company 4 1/2 months ago maybe five months ago I’ve been promised my product by the owner and the manager of the store have not received my products. I spent $1500 with this company for separate closing pieces I’ve talked to him on the phone the manager and the owner and I still have not received my clothing.
