I can't turn on the business news anymore without hearing some diatribe about big chains suffering these days due to an infatuation with unique, hyper-local fare. There's something to be said for that stuff, for sure, but honestly, let's compare apples to apples. Comparing BWW to a trendy little food truck or some local mom-and-pop establishment is like comparing a Disney World vacation to an aid mission in the Sudan: sure, you might end up having the time of your life after strapping a tourniquet on a child whose leg was blown off and then falling in love with that beautiful French doctor with the adorable accent but, honestly, isn't it just as likely you'll end up being left armless in a ditch after a machete attack? BWW makes some tasty-ass comfort food that will always leave you sated, happy and possibly quite bulbous. Their wings are delicious (try the dry-rub seasonings for a change of pace), the service is almost always excellent and they spend more money on tv's and sports cable packages than the GDP of Thailand. Sure, it's fun to be adventurous and try new things sometimes at some kitschy new local bistro but it's also risky. Go sow a wild oat or two with a fling at Jorge's Taco Truck and above-ground pool party but when you're ready to be spooned by your steady, come on back to BWW and enjoy some fried pickles with a side of LED-induced seizures. You'll...
Read moreWe ordered through the online ordering service through the BWW website. One item out of 7 was correct. We had to go back a second time to pick up our salads. Then the salads were not prepared as requested; there was an issue with the way the online order came through to the cook staff so ingredients were included that were supposed to be left off because of allergy. The one salad that did go throughthe ordering correctly was still not prepared appropriately. The dressings were also wrong and we got none of the requested sauces. When I voiced my frustration by calling to speak to a manager, I was hung up on at least 5 times before I actually got to a manager. When I finally got to talk to him, he was rude and getting any compensation for the poor service was like pulling teeth. In the end, they still did not compensate for all that should have been. I was told because I ordeed online it was not his problem. All-in-all this was a frustrating experience.
UPDATE: A few days after reviewing, the general manager (not the manager on duty the night of the original event) called me and had found the issue with customizing in the online orders himself. He did compensate for the problems with the order and apologized for the trouble. I'll boost the review from 1star to 3, but still won't likely return to...
Read moreI order online for a family of 5, and immediately canceled because of an emergency that kept me from picking up my order. I was told that the manager on duty would cancel, this was a Tuesday btw. I called again Wednesday and asked to speak to the manger this time , and was assured that the order was cancelled, by this time my account went from pending to charged. So I called Thursday and was told that the district Manager (I forget his name Andy, I believe) was coming after 4 and to call back. I called back spoke with district manager, and he looks up my order and says that it was canceled, and sometimes the bank take a minute, ( although I already knew my bank accounts said I was charged for the order) I entertained his statement and called the next day. I couldn’t get the district manager on the phone but I was able to get a more concerning manger( I forget his name) but he found my order and says that it was cancel but took extra measures to send me his email so I can send my bank statement that clearly said they charge me for the service I didn’t received.. and was told that I would receive a call back and have yet to hear from anyone.. this was...
