Main Moon Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Tucker

Today, Nov.7, 2023, my mom & I ordered takeout from this place. We paid for our food then went home. We've been ordering for the past year and the food have been delicious, no complaints, therefore we boasted about Main Moon to people we know and met. But, today, we were dissatisfied with our food. My order of Shrimp with Broccoli was overcooked, and Crab Rangoon was distasteful. My mom"s order of Shrimp Lomein was salty. So, she called and spoke with the cashier (who's there most of the time taking orders) and explained what the problem was. The Shrimp Lomein is usually very good except for this time. We were told to bring the food back, and figure out the problem, when we arrived and explained again our situation, the cashier became offensive, loud and disrespectful in front of customers, and said there was nothing wrong with the food. She told us we could order something else or get a refund and that the manager said for us not to come back, also she said that we do this all the time, which is a lie. I said to her that she was wrong, because we were always satisfied with the food. I called there once last summer because a container of rice was missing from my order, and the cashier told me that I could either return to get it or she can place a container of rice with my next order. Getting back to the main reason of my posting, the cashier kept talking about she had to throw away $35.00 worth of food. We both said to her, that she owe us an apology, because she was very disrespectful towards us, but, instead she smirked at us then walked towards the register, and gave us our refund. All of this was openly in the waiting area where other people were standing in awe. I asked to speak with the manager and she said he was busy but, I knew he didn't want to resolve the matter, therefore her ignorance was acceptable to him, little do he know, he can lose business that way. It pains me to write a bad review, but the last time we ordered from here, it was inedible. I had to toss $50 worth of food, plus tip. I found this place a few months a go and was excited that it was finally a solid Chinese fast food place, I was wrong. The order last night was a disaster. From the three main dishes, soup and rolls, the only thing we could eat was the side of fried rice. Everything else I threw away. Egg rolls were pretty much raw inside, the cabbage wasn't cooked at all. Chicken and beef dishes were so watery, the sauce didn't stick to the meat, all vegetables were raw and meat tasted like boiled/steamed and it was colorless. The shrimp dish was the only one that somewhat resembled what food should be, but still wasn't great. I called today just to mention it in a nice way, the lady just said it's the same cook and hung up on me. This is the first time in a lifetime, that I've ever called the place, I don't expect this to be a gourmet meal, but throwing away so much food that wasn't cheap, isn't right either and they should stand behind it and at least accept the mess up. I actually have a Chinese restaurant right near my house but I choose to drive 15 minutes to go to Main Moon just because the wonton soup is so good! The food is decent too. This is my second time eating here and both times I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce this time I added beef to it which I probably won’t do again because the beef is tough and they only gave me 4 shrimp and I had to pay extra to add the beef so I expected the full amount of shrimp. Also the broccoli in my meal was barely cooked. My son ordered lemon pepper wings and fries. The fries are not fresh at all looks like the oil that they were fried in was dirty but the wings were okay.

The reason I chose to leave a review this time and give 3 stars is simply because this time when I came in to pay for my order I seen one of the cooks literally sweeping the food into the pot with his bare hands off the table and then he wiped his hands on pants and continued cooking. Also, the lady taking orders was helping cook food & touching money at the same time which definitely made me cautious...
