I've shopped at this Kroger for over 25 years and I'm proud of the Kroger employees because I know that the employees do their job even when customers lie. I've watched customers lie on employees just because the customer knows they will get a gift card or free grocery from the Kroger management if they complain enough. Why don't we address customers who complain to call corporate every time he or she does not get their way! I'm a paying customer myself and I hate waiting on people who hold up the line in checkout on purpose and then they get a freaking gift card for being difficult...Management why are you rewarding negative behavior? I've also watched passive aggressive parents let their kids run up and pick out birthday cakes out of the bakery, then run around the store without supervision messing up the cake. The parent will stand there and get angry and complain at an employee to management who tries to intervene and carry the cake for the child so the cake does not get messed up. That same parent will then chose to complain about the employee because they felt the employee should not have intervened at all and that parent will not pay for the cake their own child messed up. Don't even get me started on the parents who let their kids snack on Kroger food that has not been purchased yet and probably have no intentions of paying for it in the first place or parents who just let their kids run around the store unsupervised. Kroger needs more miniature carts for customers instead of the larger carts. The miniature carts seem to go the fastest among customers so corporate needs to do their jobs and order more. I'm not going to deny that there are lazy customers who won't even put their cart away and leave it sitting out preventing other customers from getting a parking space. This happens way more often than it should. Customers who snap on cashiers and employees just because you are in a rush, blaming cashiers who you claim bent your cans when you clearly smashed them in the aisle, then demand you want a discount. Customers who want to jump to blaming cashiers because you didn't see the discount on the screen, but it's clearly on your receipt that you did get a discount, but you won't even read your receipt in the first place. As a customer it's not fun watching you having a cashier ring up a lot of your groceries, then watch you go through card after card while you yell at the cashier to go get you your cancer sticks and condoms, then scream at a cashier just because your funds didn't go through. I've yet to meet a disgruntled customer who applies the golden rule to kroger employees instead most of the customers...
Read moreI have been shopping this store for several years, choosing not to shop any other grocery store in the area. The experience has always been 5 star until about a year ago when things started to go awry: Kroger quit carrying Malt-O-Meal bagged cereals (large bags that were considerably less expensive than any boxed cereals and cut down on the number of times I had to shop for breakfast food), next they re-merchandised the store (good for them, not for the career shopper) making repeat shoppers go on a treasure hunt for items purchased regularly. I spent 15 minutes looking for Crystal Light Lemonade Mix, gave up and had to call a manager to show me where I NEVER would have thought to look! Additionally, the re-merchandising was the cause of my having to go back to the store three times to return products that had been moved, packaging looked similar to what I usually buy, but when I get home the product is not the brand, is smaller and more expensive.. Recently they re-introduced the Malt-O-Meal bagged cereals, but in smaller more expensive bags! I still have to go to Wal-Mart to find the original size.
Today was the prize...I shop twice a month and spend about $300.00 per month. I ALWAYS go through self-checkout so I can use paper bags and load the bags my way, fuller, less bags and the bags stand up in the trunk of my car. 4-6 paper bags vs 20 or more plastic with many having one or two items per bag...Today I was asked NOT to use self checkout but to go to the regular line!?! These lines are NOT going to pack the bags properly, ALWAYS have waiting lines (5 out of eleven lanes were closed) vs the self check lines that are seldom backed up by people will full carts like mine. Perhaps it is time to install more self check lines and get rid of the attended lanes sitting unattended!
Furthermore, the Deli is a trial EVERY TIME I shop. Seldom staffed sufficiently, if staffed all but one or two ignore the Deli customer and keep on cleaning letting the customer wait. When finally waited on one does not know how many different cuts can be ordered before the clerk starts getting surley!
The bottom line is that as much as I HATE WAL-MART I am being pushed out of Kroger and into the hands of THE...
Read moreToday the store was in pretty good shape. The lines weren't long at all I just needed the express lane and was able to use it. The store seem to be pretty clean to me all that they had a lot of Georgia stuff in front of where the old Bank used to be to where the customers couldn't see it to where it could be sold they should have it in to where customers can see it so we can buy it we are very into wanting to buy that stuff especially if it is on discount. Our overall visit today was good I was very pleased I didn't have to stay in the extended amount of time I normally have to use a cart today I was able to walk to the store and get my exercise because it wasn't crowded which made me happy I do not like and they won't open up any other names and they won't get people up there to buy groceries and the customers are bagging their own groceries that is absolutely ridiculous something needs to be done about that my friends and I think that Kroger is a very good place to shop at better than Publix so we're put in your name out there Kroger so be happy for yourself as we all and the younger self call you K Rodger and Publix is pooplix that is with younger gentleman action is telling me I'm older than they are but this is what they come back and tell me and they spend a lot of money in your stores they work hard for their money and they spend a lot of money in your stores I'm talking about 20 year olds up to 25 year olds they would rather spend your money at Kroger then at Publix so if you want to keep them at your store keep your prices down low and keep them coming and show him what it's like to shop at Kroger keep them coming and they will stay when I'm heading ice review about you the other day said they had to eat good on a Saturday showing steaks crab legs and a few other things spend a lot of money so be proud of yourself I am and I have been shopping with you for many many years as well and all of the people that I speak about including myself get medication filled...
