It was a good experience. A couple of people at our table ordered vodka and cranberry and it tasted like pure juice; no sign of alcohol whatsoever. The waitress added a shot to it and charged somehow where it wasn't full price for the shot to make up for it. It didn't take too long to get seated. Food arrived pretty quickly although someone in our party ordered chicken and received steak, which was okay but that particular person has dental issues so although they like steak, they couldn't eat a lot of the meat as it was tough. The waitress did offer to get it switched out which was nice, but we declined as we were on a schedule. I would make a recommendation, however...we sat at a table directly adjacent to the kitchen, and the cooks were using words that were not appropriate. As someone who speaks fluent Spanish, I thought that was unprofessional to say the least; let's just say I am glad that my two little ones could not understand it. Word of advice is to be mindful that you don't have to "look" or have the appearance of being Spanish to be Spanish and to understand it...I think sometimes people assume since you don't "look" Hispanic, you aren't. Which, in this case, is the polar opposite. Sounds like a lot of negative, but I'm still giving a 4 star rating because the service was prompt, waitress was kind, and overall we had...
Read moreI've visited this restaurant twice, and I really don't understand why people rated it so highly. The food is overpriced if quality tasting food is what you are looking for (unless you just like large amounts, then this is your place). The food looks slopped on the plate, not very eye appealing and the flavors definitely leave a lot to be desired for the price. I ordered salmon tacos which had decent flavor but the salmon would have been dry if not for the large amounts of sauce they dress it with. I usually love rice and beans from Mexican restaurants, but this one was just not good. My husband the first time couldn't finish eating his food due to how chewy it was and he's the type to eat through any plate of food because he doesn't believe in wasting food. The second time we ordered the same items and his was edible but not enjoyable while mine was the same. For the price? You get more flavor at any other Mexican restaurant. If you like left overs and just want some half decent, this is for you. I don't recommend it if you are looking for authentic Mexican food. Service wasn't...
Read moreWhile I am a fan of their food overall, customer service in relation to call in orders is greatly lacking. I know that my order is not going to pay any one of their bills, but customer service should be a focus for any business. I ordered, specifically over the phone: queso, salsa, and chips. I know that it is most Mexican restaurants' practice to include salsa, however, I have no issue paying for it since my total is not a large amount. When I arrived, I explained I had an order of "queso, salsa, and chips." I guess it's my mistake thinking the lack of inclusion of salsa would not occur a second time. Calling to complain would only accomplish more dissatisfaction in customer relations because the best option for them financially would be for me to be further frustrated and inconvenienced to go back up there for it. I hope the owners/management team can come up with a process that ensures that orders are taken efficiently and that they are doubled checked before being handed over to the customer. At this point, the actions I interpret are that patrons are...
