Cappy's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Tucson

Yummy yummy in my tummy! Been dying to find a home like feel breakfast joint and stumbled into this baby today and was so happy we did!

Looking from the outside, nothing too remarkable and then you walk into this small, crowded diner full of people. LIKE EVERY BOOTH AND TABLE FULL OF PEOPLE.

We stood there for a minute not sure if we sat ourselves or if we had to wait to be seated. ( biggest complaint)

Tables were quickly turned and we jumped right in. No one said anything so I assume we seat ourselves.

Few minutes later someone came to take our drink order and we ordered food immediately.

While waiting we were eyeing everyone’s dishes and how they all seemed to be enjoying their meals.

Random Paris memorabilia was upon the wall. Beautiful but seemed random. Kinda wanted to know the reasoning behind the name Cappy’s? Was hoping for a story on the menu or something like old school diners use to do.

There were these “ghetto” typed signed about every booth stating.. “ chicken friend steak is beef” and please don’t share drinks to maintain free refills. Verrryyy tacky.

Food came and maaaaaann were we excited. Everything was perfect. Fresh BUTTERY toast. Perfectly scrambled and cooked eggs. Crispy hash browns and the most beautiful chicken fried steak smothered in gravy!! Food was delish 💁‍♀️ and so filling.

Husband had an omelette that stood no chance. Devoured in seconds.

My only complaint is that when I ordered water they brought some nasty tap water with ice. Legit water was still warm when it was brought to me, so don’t order the water and you will be 100% happy.

Costumer service was very slow, in their defense they were packed. Friendly but not very present.

Pricing was fair! Spent about $40 for 2 people with drinks. We will be back and back and back because the food...

My boyfriend and I went out one day to find a breakfast place that we had found online. When we drove there, we found it was a residential address. Bummed out, we went searching for another breakfast place that was close to us and found Cappy's Willing to give it a try, we went here and let me tell you, Best Decision Ever! Omg! This place is uh-mazing! Country fried steak is my boyfriend's favorite so he ordered it and when it came to our table, our eyes popped out of our heads. This was the largest and one of the most delicious country fried steaks we've ever had! All of their food was spot on! I got biscuits and gravy and a veggie omelette, which were delicious. He got pancakes on the side with his country fried steak and everything was cooked purrrrrfectly We have now made it back there a 2nd time and I got their taco salad and it was so delicious. Boyfriend got the same thing and it was again cooked to perfection and looked like it was breaded and made there. Crispy and yummy We both highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service at an affordable price. Amazing breakfast! The service was prompt and the coffee always full. They all work so hard there. It was getting fairly busy after we got there but the service didn't slow down. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The coffee was good, hot, and they had 3 kinds of creamer to offer. Sugar was stocked. I ordered pancakes with 2 eggs over medium with crispy bacon. It was all perfectly cooked. No jiggly eggs and nice crispy bacon and the pancakes were large. My fiance ordered the 3 meat omelet and it was huge and well cooked. His hash browns were ordered crispy and that's how they came but not overcooked. The toast was good. Our friend ordered chicken fried steak which was good and it was huge! Filled a large oval plate along with hash browns and scrambled eggs. So much food we couldn't even finish it. This is the 2nd time we have eaten there and will definately eat here again when I'm in this part of town for breakfast. The menu has a lot of choices for breakfast.
