Chariot Pizza — Restaurant in Tucson

Decent food, but terrible dining experience. I used to visit chariot frequently when I worked closer to the location, and always really enjoyed it. I haven't been in about three years, and the place regrettably has really declined. The food was hot and fresh, the service was TERRIBLE. Cashier treated every customer that came in for pickup or dine-in like she was offended by being bothered to take it deliver orders. I ordered a beverage, ... "Nope, out of that.". Ordered something else. Out of that too! No "sorry for the inconvenience, rather let's play a guessing game. Girlfriend and I ordered a simple two topping pizza, mushrooms on half. She rolled her eyes with annoyance with having to note "half mushrooms." ...Fine, we can do that...

When the pizza came, -longer than it used to take, we watched other customers get treated with the exact same level of unprofessionalism. My girlfriend sneered at me; "she's intentionally being rude, it's like she gets satisfaction from it." She wrote a separate review, lengthy one with the name of the staff member. She definitely wouldn't tell her name if asked, but printed on the receipt. That level of, "go away, my phone is more important."

The food is good, the kitchen does a great job. Food was hot, and exactly as expected. The physical location hasn't changed in the ten plus years I'd occasionally stop in. Aways had/has early 1980s decor, faded artwork. And booths that probably only get wiped at closing. I used to recommend Chariot, but after this last time I am really reluctant.

Bad vibes. Food is worthwhile, but I wouldn't go out of my way anymore. I'll probably visit again, but...

i never really review restaurants but i do read them and i felt like the reviews i read for this pizza was very misleading lol sorry. i ordered on the website and that was smooth and simple. the delivery was quick too which was a plus. i loved how they sent the pizza with a little cup of parmesan, i love parmesan. i ordered their supreme pizza. i really didn’t like how the vegetables were cut but that’s not really something that is important, but i can say the veggies tasted kinda weird. the pizza was pretty thin, and im pretty sure i ordered regular hand toss, and the minimal sauce made the pizza just feel like wet bread and the heavy toppings made it difficult to eat. i know supreme is literally pizza with a lot of toppings, i just believe that a good pizza can support many toppings so it was disappointing to see a lot of the veggies on my plate with one bite. now all that would be whatever but what i really hated about this pizza was the ham. oh man that ham…. it was literally cheap lunch meat. like not even hillshire farm or something it felt and tasted cheap. it was slimy and took up majority of the slices. it was so nasty that id pick it off but that would cause the minimal cheese AND the many veggies to fall off, so i was literally eating this wet thin bread. i love pizza and have had a lot of pizza from many different places both good and bad but honestly id say this was one of the worst lol. the price is decent, i delivery was fast, love the lil cheese cup. but the actual final project was just so sad and...
