Great look, comfortable seating, meh food, horrible service.

I saw a good review on Facebook and decided to brunch with a friend today. They seated us and then ignored us for quite a while. Gave us water and ignored us for a while. Finally we got to order. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with cheese on the side because I have never had cheese in my biscuits and gravy and wasn't sure I would like it. I also ordered bacon on the side because their "brunch" is just pancakes or just a biscuit and gravy, no bacon no sides. My friend ordered a pancake.

It took a LONG time to get our food (I never did get my bacon). I took two bites of the biscuit which had cheese baked in it and it wasn't for me. Nothing about how it was cooked, I just didn't like the combo of gravy and cheese. So I finally got the attention of the server and told her I didn't like it and asked for a waffle instead.

The pancakes and the waffle had great consistency but bland taste and they charge extra for real maple syrup. At the end she brought the bill and charged me for BOTH the biscuit AND the waffle and gave me 30% off the biscuit. Um no, I ate literally 2 bites and ordered something different. I wasn't asking for my meal to be comped but I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't like and didn't eat.

After some song and dance about how the manager would have to get involved, when I said I wasn't going to pay for the biscuit I didn't eat, she took about 2 minutes to come back with the bill without the biscuit.

Would NOT recommend, will not be going back. With the high quality of restaurants in Tucson, this level of "service" doesn't cut it.

Edit: Any restaurant that thinks a 30% discount is a "proper discount" for food that was sent back does not have the level of service I expect. To be clear I had TWO bites. I am not a "Karen" who eats 2/3rds of something and sends it back and expects a refund. But I have never in my life been expected to pay for food that was sent back uneaten. 100% WOULD NOT recommend. If you want excellent brunch with excellent service try...

Visited this morning for late brunch. Very cute decor. Cozy and trendy. Great concept with the fresh juices, minty lemonades and natural ingredients. But…upon walking in, you are greeted by a huge (unopened) outdoor, lounge umbrella?? Surely that could have been placed elsewhere? Several staff walked by multiple times and not one gave eye contact, a smile, or a “we’ll be right with you”. After 10-15 minutes, we do get seated. Service was okay. Check back was after we were about 70% through our meal. No check presented, just the machine. We had wanted to ensure we weren’t charged for the extra green chili sauce we asked for upon ordering but never received. At that point we had waited long enough and just wanted to depart. As for the food—- Denver omelet was okay. Little overdone, shredded deli-style ham but the homemade sourdough toast it was served with was decent for it being made on site. The side potatoes were completely inedible. Soggy and extremely over-salted. Think they forgot to do a taste test when prepping. I do see they have had reviews write about under-seasoning so maybe they’re trying to compensate? Godfather BLT was better. Creative BLT on focaccia with bacon, mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, and arugula with a Balsamic drizzle. Came with a side of loaded baked potato soup but it is served in a shallow ramekin so that it’s cold by the time it arrives. Not the most appealing looking soup and I’m sure flavor would have been better had it been at temp. Sadly, too many misses...

Has potential to be great, but isn't all that wonderful. Not much room in the lobby area and outside for people to wait and to be seated. Not a lot of room in general so it was "busy" when we went. Small groups were at large tables, maybe have more seating options? Patio is cute, but not ideal for a cold morning (no heat) Waitress was very sweet, but we had to wait a long time to get drinks and food (took 50 minutes from when we ordered food to actually get food). Wasn't checked on during that time. Drinks were good, lemonade hit the spot! Latte was good. But not able to order more as never saw waitress again. Food was.... OK. Not sure what I was expecting, but it didn't hit yummy status. Ranch dressing was water, basalmic was almost all oil. Menu didn't specify what kind of bread sandwiches were on and seasoning on top it was weird tasting with our sandwiches (my fault for not asking either and had mild allergic reaction). Ordered water after meal to take pill, and never received. All in all, would I go back? Maybe. I'd try something else on the menu and definitely go when it wasn't "busy" and would hope I got food in a more timely manner (or at least the ability to order another drink...

Solid 4 all the way around. Not sure why this place is getting trashed. My wife and I had a good experience here. Started with the biggest Americano I've ever seen. Mug was massive, but coffee wasn't bitter so that was good! I got the early bird special. It was simple but good. Bacon needs to be crispier. Potatoes were actually seasoned well, but a little overcooked so they were a tad mushy. Sausage prolly needs to be pan or oven fried, cuz it tasted a smidge dry. Overall tho, everything had good flavor. My wife got the biscuit and gravy which she always tries at places, but is usually disappointed in. This place was a nice surprise. 2nd best biscuit and gravy she's had in 15yrs of living in Az. Can tell the gravy is homemade and the biscuit is massive! We'll definitely be back!

Tucson, don't sleep on this brunch spot! I found it on Seed Oil Scout - which means they don't use seed oils - which is amazing and rare. Not only that, everything is fresh made with clean ingredients- mostly organic - and every pancake, biscuits, and pastry features the owner's sourdough. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were some of the best I had. Coffee was great, ambiance beautiful, vibes good, and I got a pineapple upside down cake to go - made with monk fruit, no sugar! The service was amazing- Kennya and Jessica were warm, kind, and knowledgeable about the ingredients. There are vegan options too! If you care about eating healthy and care about ingredients, this is a wonderful spot. If you don't, it's delicious anyways!
