If I could I would give ZERO STARS. I was there 6/29/19. I bought a blue kayak for $50. It was up front by the window but shoved in the corner. It sported a still attached $399 sticker, both oars, new seat and fishing rod holder. It seemed like a real deal at $50. I'd be a fool to pass on it. So, I bought it. Went to pull my car around and walked into the back ready to get my kayak. The woman in the back had a serious attitude (I contributed this to the heat at first) but it wasnt. After I loaded the kayak onto the roof my vehicle I notice a hole right at the bottom edge. Unnoticeable from initial inspection because all the other equipment was over it, hiding it. A BULLET HOLE. Like who ever had the kayak prior shot at their foot. WHO SELLS A BOAT WITH A HOLE IN IT? Especially at GoodWill? For $50? I was shocked. I walked back inside the loading area to have the woman get the dolly to unload it. I was returning it. She proceeded to tell me to go away. When I asked her to come look at the hole, she got even more upset. The whole neck rolling, finger wagging, chest puffed out mad. Telling me to go to the front of the store. All over asking her to inspect the damage and get the dolly to take it back. I stood there took her verbal abuse and finally told her to do her job and grab the dolly. After the kayak was off my vehicle I went back to front of the store and got my refund. This experience has soured me on this location. I will not be returning. To sell items that are clearly defective and dangerous to the buyer.....to the rude unprofessional employee in the back. At least I got...
Read moreLeft this store at 3:53pm 4-19-07. HIGHLY saddened and disappointed at the service I received today! The cashier- a shorter thicker Mexican woman with an accent (name unknown since she wasn't wearing a nametag -bad for business #1) (My receipt says Nancy B) and a taller black woman with glasses were literally gossiping at the registers while customers were forced to listen. The black woman I am assuming was the manager as she was wearing a nametag (unable to catch her name) and wondering the store beforehand. They were highly unprofessional and disrespectful to myself and 3 other customers who were in line. We couldn't believe that we were hearing about a woman named Britney who was left by her mom at a local golden corral in front of her family and children. The black woman literally was like "Omg! No way! And was like omg I'm glad my family isn't like that!" The woman replied "Yes, girl! I couldn't believe it! And yes, you're family isn't like that. I like your family." For the sake of the working environment, I hope Britney wasn't an employee. Either way rude and disrespectful service is what I received from this shopping trip. The man in front of us was annoyed as she turned around everytime she took a shirt off the hanger. He had about 6 shirts. She didn't greet us nor did she respond back to my "Hello" as she was too busy in her conversation and only stopped gossiping when she told us our total. Read moreEdit/ I was called within minutes of my phone call to corporate by Kevin Cunningham and Marisa. They listened we spoke and I feel much better. Thank you for your clarity. They will be addressing this issue at the store level
So here I am again, writing another review about a Goodwill that refuses to allow my child, who has medical issues, to use the restroom—despite their clear placement for public access.
To the Goodwill customer service team that will inevitably respond: A generic reply is not enough. I want to speak directly with the director overseeing the Tucson area.
Goodwill proudly advertises how it helps the community over the radio while shoppers browse your stores, yet you can’t even provide the basic courtesy of maintaining accessible restrooms for all customers? You rely on the generosity of donors to fund your operations, pay your executives, and keep your doors open—yet this is the level of customer service you put forth?
Is this just a Tucson issue, or is this happening in all your locations? I want...
