This store is the worst Dairy Queen ever sad to say! I would rate it zero stars! You order a large cone and the cone is large and the ice cream barely fills up the cone. No matter you get a large cone, medium, or small. You are only paying for the cone. We order a banana split and they don't ask if we want nuts or whipped topping and they didn't even put a cherry on top or give us a lid for it. The man made our so called medium ice cream cone and the girl told him that's too small to make us a new one. So the man threw the cone away and made the same size as the first one and he gave it to us. The service is the worst ever and the manager acts like doopy doopy do. They are a huge rip off! Not to mention the layout plan of the Dairy Queen that's the worst ever. We parked and got our ice cream and go to the car to leave and we can't go anywhere. All because when you park and the drive through line is long you cannot back out or leave cause all the cars are in the way. Our ice cream was melting all over and not to mention the ice cream I bought to bring home to my mom was melting. The first time we went here we were not happy, but we wanted to go since it was new and closest to our house. Sad to say I've gone five times only cause it was close to the house. No more we will go out of our way to the Dairy Queen on 22nd between Wilmot and Craycroft cause that is one of the best ones and the service and product...
Read moreI came in tonight and this gentleman named Mondo was the best! He was patient when I took 10 minutes to order and then when I asked to change my peanut busted parfait from hot fudge to caramel he said "NO PROBLEM!" I even was able to layer my hot fudge and caramel. Most staff would roll their eyes and be annoyed but he was so kind. I appreciate businesses that hire FRIENDLY employees!! Especially employees that go out of their way to make sure you leave happy!!
Not only did he assist me with my order but I also got to witness his patience with other customers. Because, WOW there was some very rude women here. One of the ice cream machines broke leaving these women without their ice cream and they went crazy! They wanted their money back because they used a debit card but any normal (and smart) human being would know they can't get it back until it clears from the bank. Mondo explained this calmly and was very courteous to them. I would have been irrrate because these women were very irrational with their requests demanding their money. Yet, again he was so calm and patient.
I will definitely be back again and am very happy to say that there ARE great employees and staff at this Dairy Queen location...
Read moreFirst time I visited this location it was about 15 minutes after they were supposed to open and the employee was chatting on her cell phone while she unlocked the door and let me in. She didn't have anything prepped for the day, and was rushing to assemble her line. I couldn't believe my eyes when she was pulling dishes out of the sink in the back, spraying them down real quick, and then using them to make my blizzard's. I've worked in the service industry long enough to know this is clearly a health code violation. Lastly, she was in such a hurry that one of the blizzard's she threw together was definitely not thick enough to serve upside down. I'm sure she was hoping I didn't say anything, because they're supposed to give a coupon for a free blizzard if they don't serve it upside down... She was nice, so I let it go. Maybe she was just having an "off day". On a positive note: the lobby area looked very clean, so the closing crew must be doing...
