IS DELICIA'S A RESTAURANT, OR AN OBNOXIOUS BOOMING NIGHTCLUB WITH ZERO REGARD OR RESPECT FOR THE NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD??? I don't know about the food, and could care less, as there's only about 100,000 other Mexican restaurants in South Tucson to choose from. All I know Is that I live about a quarter mile away from this place and have to call the cops every Monday morning like I did just now because they have live music every Sunday night that totally disturbs the peace of the surrounding neighborhood till the sun comes up the next morning. Most nightclubs that feature live music are some distance away from people's houses, but not this place. They could care less. That said, Delicia's is a festering cancer like the slum lord Desert Suds car wash across the street. I've never eaten there, and never will. Any establishment that shows such casual disregard for the rights of nearby homeowners doesn't deserve my business, or anyone else's, I'd rather give my money to Taco Bell or On The Border, which both suck, but at least they don't act like they own the whole freaking world. I love good food just as much as anyone, but when your business keeps me up till 3-4am every stinking Monday morning, I don't care how good your food is, I will not spend my money...
Read moreI'm confounded by the overall good reviews of this restaurant. I don't think I've had worse Mexican food in Tucson, ever. The salsa at the table, in it's styrofoam bowl, was watered down to the point that it was clear, the chips were stale, when our drinks came out there was no tequila in the margarita and only half a beer in the $9 michelada. It only got worse when the mains came out, my wife got the combo #9 which is a cheese enchilada that literally tasted like cafeteria food, what was supposed to be a beef taco but it was in a tortilla that was soggy and falling apart, and a Chile Relleno that simply wasn't cooked, the breading was full of oil and when you cut into it you could see the unmelted cheese sticks inside. My shrimp fajitas were flavorless and overcooked into a rubber texture, they had also cut the inedible stem of the bell pepper into the mixed fajita veggies which lacked anything with flavor, no jalapenos or green chilies, just bell pepper and white onion. I have no idea how a place like this can operate in an area where you can literally drive one minute in any direction and find 5 other Mexican restaurants with...
Read moreI came here for lunch with my brother to have a nice lunch. The parking lot is a little small so be careful there are handicap spaces available and side parking off of the side street. The place was about 3/4 full maybe and it's quite nice everything's cleaned a decoration is nice it's pretty big. All I can say is the food was really good for the price. The tacos were good, the enchilada sauce was really good. The only thing that I might have to complain about is that our server was a little unattentive after he took our order he never really came back to check on us we had to ask another server for a refill on the beans they give you with your chips and then later on we had to ask any even other server for refills on our drinks. Also what I found a little weird is that they allow vendors to come into the restaurant and try and sell you stuff while you're eating and make you feel on the spot to buy something. For example some man came in trying to sell us dozen tortillas with a bag of my chocolate and he was going to table to table asking and it was putting off. But other than that I would recommend this place and I would...
