My girlfriend and I love Dutch Bro's and this location has always been good to us. (100's upon 100's of visits to this location alone between the two of us). Their customer service is always on point and they are willing to customize drinks however we want.
This location has been giving us some new issues over the last month or two though, since a portion of their staff was transferred to some of the other new locations, and hiring new workers for this location.
The last two times we visited this location the drinks were not correct. For one instance, one of the drinks had ZERO sweetener in it when I usually get two SF Choc Mac and two SF White Chocolate, 3 x sweet. (Didn't notice until after I had already driven away.)
The last visit to this location they couldn't get our orders entered into the system correctly. I usually order our drinks as a Dub Shot - Over Ice - 32oz Cup - 7 Cream (to the top) - 2 SF White Choc - 2 SF Choc Mac. The total for one drink this way is usually only $1.50. This makes the drink so reasonably priced we could afford to get coffee from Dutch everyday. THE KICKER TODAY WAS - We were told by the young man taking orders we couldn't order this - he said it was costing the business too much money and was an inconvenience to profit of this location. He ran into the actual building, came back and said we had to order it as two Annihilators because it was the same as the drinks we ordered. The price was now $12.00 + I tipped $2. So, I usually get two drinks, and with tip it is $5.00. I spoke to the woman at the window who also said we are not supposed to order drinks this way and people have been taking our orders wrong in the past. (WE HAVE BEEN HERE PROBABLY OVER 200 TIMES - HOW COULD THEY HAVE DONE IT WRONG 200+ TIMES???).
Honestly my last few experiences at this location make me want to take a longer route and just go the new Tanque Verde and Grant location, where some of the old workers transferred. (BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ALWAYS ACCOMMODATE US...)
I am just looking for a response from someone who knows whats going on at this location. Can we really no longer order our drinks the way we want them? Is it the same for ALL locations (Because we get our same customized drink @ EVERY location and it's always the $1.50 per Dubb-Shot drink.) It was definitely a punch to the gut paying 4x the usual amount for our drinks today; and not being able to speak to someone who has helped us in the past to try to resolve the issue.
The fact that these experiences have been happening will not reduce my overall score below a 5...because I love Dutch a lot and I want to continue coming to this location.
Once again, this review is coming from someone who visits this location multiple times a week. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would be grateful for a response from management.
PS: Congratulations to the owners on the birth of their new baby. I hope you are...
Read moreTo start off, I absolutely LOVE DB. #dutchmafia Born in grants pass, always stop to get DB whenever I am in Oregon, actually stopped by the HQ for gear this summer, got a outfit for my soon to be newborn. So when I heard about a location ooenope up in Tucson, I was BEYOND stoked! Unfortunately I was so busy at work I wasn't able to make it for about a week after they opened (I also live in marana). So, as for the 2* rating. As expected, the line was long, and as expected they had their baristas out getting orders at the cars before they got to the window. But that's where my points started to go down, the guy working had his arse hanging out.. straight up boxers showing no cares at all... I get it's a laid back place, but come on dude, basic cleanliness. He also hapoenha to be the one who took my order, chill guy. Seemed VERY stoned, he laxidasically asked me for my order, no cheer or whatsoever of the DB aura I am used to. I gave him my order, and my punch card. Then he took off before I could say I have my own DB coffee cup I would like to use, I got a Chai frapp in the desert, that's gonna melt quick. Anyways, I let that slide cause i was on my way to watch the game, it didn't take long for a lady to run my drink out, where I was once again let down.. it was the right size, but it was 2/3rds melted... C'mon guys, I've NEVER EVER had this problem at DB before, a Chai frapp with a shot of espresso, it always came out perfect. Hence why I LOVE DB. Well, I let it slide, once I take a drink, it was very milky, a bad tea to milk ratio -_-, Then to boot, there were five cars in front of me who all have already gotten their drinks, but had to wait on the guy in the very front buying his at the window, then wait for them to make and give it to him before we could all leave, took about 6-7mns for that to happen. In the end I actually threw the last half away, the first time I've never finished a DB drink... Long story short now, it didn't live up and I am very disappointed in Dutch Bros Tucson. I apologise for any grammatical errors, this was typed on...
Read moreAs an obsessed coffee person, I was not wowed. BUT, I have only gone once so I am willing to adjust this review after another visit... particularly after looking at their online menu.
This location is a bit tricky to get into depending on which direction you are coming. The hubs and I stopped in after hearing people rave about it. I ordered the Cold Brew Mocha, the hubs got some sort of hot holiday drink. I will say that I loved the customer service and the person taking the order (and paying) before you get to the window.
Our drinks were okay -- don't get me wrong, but I would not even go as far as saying they were good. My cold brew Mocha was not sweet it was cold brew with some unsweetened cocoa in it (maybe that is how it is supposed to taste?) I was in it for the caffeine so the sweet part was not a deal breaker.
The car in front of us ordered at least 17 drinks (we were counting) Many of which they ordered when they got up to the window. This is my only true beef -- we were held captive, along with two cars behind us in the drive through. We literally had our drinks for 5 minutes and were drinking them (along with the 2 cars behind us) before we could get out of the drive through. Okay, I guess it was cool that the guy ran our drinks out to us so we could enjoy them at their particular temperatures. The gal at the window should have told the car to move up and park, but we sat and waited -- fully paid, drinking our drinks while the people in front of us continued to order...
