T.J. Maxx — Local services in Tucson

This is usually our favorite place in the world to go but we had a really off putting experience at the dressing rooms today. My daughter and I asked to use the handicapped stall as my daughter has a heart condition that can cause fainting and the bench helps her rest while changing and I have degenerative disc disease so the bench and extra room allows me to dress easier as well. This way she doesn’t have to be separated from me and we can both manage. The woman checking us in simply said no when we asked, then said we only have one, I tried to explain as she didn’t seem to speak English very well that we would wait if it was occupied and it wasn’t until another employee (very nice) came over to help and resolved it. Immediately she became rude and was giving us dirty looks. After we finished she counted the items we came out with (one was a 2 piece) set that both items were counted by her upon entry and argued that we were missing an item. She was literally acting like we stole something then dismissed us rudely after I said we don’t have anything else. Repeating goodbye over and over. It was weird and made both my daughter and I feel very uncomfortable. Since she has been sick little trips like this are what she looks forward to and this one was not a pleasant experience. Perhaps you need to train that employee about ADA and invisible illnesses. We have never had a problem there before and it was embarrassing and stressful for my daughter. The other employees were...

Excellent selection of name brand items all within a very clean establishment. Customer service is excellent, they are there when you need them and quietly monitoring things in the background when you don't. They have an awesome selection of name brand toys to chose from in addition to the clothing, toiletries, and housewares. It's almost like a mini upscale Walmart in it's offerings which range from baby goods and men's boxer briefs to hats and Ghirardelli chocolate. I went yesterday. I had the most terrible experience. I needed to exchange a pair of shorts. Mario gave me a hard time trying to do my exchange/return or I even request store credit. I asked to talk to a manager, name Nikki. She was helpless. They wouldn’t accept my drivers license. I ended up going back to my car and bringing the receipt.
