In search of tacos, and a new place to try out we came to El Rustico 2. I loved the open space, high ceilings along with the welcoming staff. We had to take a few to review the menu - tacos/burritos or BBQ. We went with the former and ordered various tacos (birria, polla asada, carne asada and bistec) along with rice, beans and some chips/salsa. They have a nice little condiment/salsa bar to get the extras for the tacos. Our food came out nice, fresh and hot. All the tacos were tasty but the clear faves were birria and bistec. My husband who normally does not go full in for the rice did, and commented how much he liked it. The young man who was helping us was super friendly and brought over a bag of extra chips. I would totally return to try out their brisket/BBQ!

Driving home from the Tucson Airport down Park Ave I was looking for a spot for lunch and remembered that this place advertises beef ribs. So I stopped in. Wow! I got the rib (costillos) plate. For $17 you get three beef ribs, rice, beans, and choice of flour or corn tortilla. Waiting for the food, the kind waitress brough a basket of chips with a hot bean dip. Yum! After a 5 to 10-ish minute wait the ribs came. They were melt-in-your-mouth amazing! Super tender, juicy, and of course tasty. I could only finish one and a half and took the rest home for leftovers. Don't miss out on one of the few places in town you can actually get beef ribs.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The tacos were absolutely delicious each bite was packed with flavor and perfectly crafted. What really stood out, though, was the service. Elizabeth and Adrian were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. The environment is also so cozy and inviting, with a great vibe that makes you want to relax and enjoy your meal. I’m giving this place five stars all the way! I’ll definitely be coming back for more tacos and excellent service! Highly recommend!

Went there today. Not busy at all. Staff knowledgeable and kind. One of the few places I have been to where the food looks as good in person as it does in the pictures. The small salsa bar was fresh, and the salsas delicious. I had a carne asada lorenza and a quesabirria taco ..both excellent. The rice and beans were very flavorful. My husband had a surf and turf taco and two rojitas. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and one or the other came with dipping juice. YUM! ohh, and don't get me started on the fresh made limonada...it was perfect. The beans that come with the chips were so good too!...
