I attempted to volunteer ... Brian Flagg was a power tripping jerk!!! I spent two hours bussing to the place and Brian, who acts like he was raised by goats, tells me to sit and proceeds to forget about me. I waited for over two hours. I didn't complain. I did exactly what he said and thanked him for the opportunity.

Against my better judgement I chose to give it another shot a couple days later and he greets me with, "What do you want?" Are you serious. What a tool! He then says, "volunteering starts at 8:30, go sit down!" I told him that wasn't going to happen again and wished him good luck. Clearly, this clown is going to need it.

The place was disgustingly dirty. I get it's not easy work but how about hosing down the concrete every now and then. Just because the clients are living in difficult conditions doesn't mean they shouldn't get a relatively clean place to eat. So many tv interviews to do, so little time for cleaning...

Although this is a place that focuses on feeding the hungry and homeless, as a volunteer I expect some sort of respect for giving my time for this worthy cause. Today, I helped do dirty work (break down boxes, throw away rotten food, pick up trash around the property, etc.) I was thanked with more dirty work, the inability to go inside and wash my hands, and getting cussed out by the guy running the operation (Bryan). I gave over an hour and a half of my Sunday morning to do filthy work in a filthy location filled with people and places that smelled like urine only to be cursed at because I was trying to go inside and wash my hands. I do not recommend anyone come volunteer at this place if it is normally being run this way. You can bet I will never come...

This is a very needed place for many. But I would never donate any items because staff get first pick of any goods donation. This has been going on for years and Brian, the guy that runs the place allows this to happen, as the staff kiss his ass.Who know what other theft is happing. It true that many people that frequent the place are aware, and complain among each other.
