I started following Samarai Sombrero Sushi on Instagram originally. At the time they were making their sushi via food truck on 22nd/Pantano area. It was my 1st encounter. Gabby provided such friendly service, I felt I had known her for years! We typically order 4-5 rolls between my husband and myself, but when we opened our takeout they were huge, delicious and succulent! I tend to be a purist when it comes to cream cheese in my sushi and Gabby was quick to offer making them to my taste and preference. What a novel idea! Now they have a brick and mortar at American Eat which is a more convenient location for us. Before, our go to rolls are usually spicy tuna, negihama etc. but we thoroughly enjoy my now go to Ceviche roll. The fusion of Mexican influences contribute to the flavors Samarai Sombrero Sushi is well known for. They are truly on a mission to introduce themselves as true contenders of sushi fusion. The Mexican, La Frida, The Avocado to the simple Spicy Cali all done to perfection, attractively plated as well as providing slightly larger than most average sushi rolls! You definitely get your money’s worth here. Gabby and Jesus are the most charismatic and hospitable restauranteurs you’ll ever meet, and so deserving of your patronage. I HIGHLY recommend you try Samarai Sombrero Sushi they really aim to please and keep you coming time and time again! I really love these two and all their efforts to earn...

Samurai Sombrero is my favourite sushi in Tucson, and I have made a point to try every location in town that serves a sweet potato roll. I appreciate how easy it is to order vegan menu items here; you can get your food without any questions or customizations, which can be a major relief. My dinning partner tends to he very picky about the sushi that they eat, expecting very high quality and well done pieces, and even they enjoy coming to Samurai Sombrero. The staff are kind and willing to accommodate food allergies. The best part is that they have plates shaped like a small boat! It is so adorable.

Samurai sombrero is located in a food court style building, at American eat co. There are a variety of other places to grab food or beverages from, including a bar. Parking is not the easiest to find, I recommend coming during the less busy times...

I love this place they do such a great job, they have a good customer base and an even better location! They have a food truck that I used to visit every once in awhile but they make constant attempts at improvement and I all around think it's a great place to pick up your sushi eat in or to go, it all taste spectacular. The staff are very nice and pleasant to do business with and meet. I don't know if Gabby.. I think she said her name was, but I'm unsure if she runs It, manages it or owns it but she sure does a good job she's definitely gone over the top with impressive customer service atleast twice hands down hooked me up and I didn't even ask for it made me not want to order anywhere else really.. Kudos to their team / customer service and composure, it's much appreciated! Thank you, see...

Samurai Sombrero is hands down the best sushi in town! This family-owned gem inside the American Eat Co. complex delivers sushi rolls that are consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. The quality is unmatched, with the perfect rice-to-fish ratio in every roll. Each bite bursts with incredible flavor, and you can tell they take pride in every dish they send out. We live about 40 minutes away, and it’s absolutely worth the drive every single time. Every roll on the menu is delicious, but our favorites are the Sonora, the Sombrero, and the Abigail—although honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. If you’re a sushi lover, do yourself a favor and try them all. This place is a must-visit!

We went here on Saturday 3/8/25 around 7:30, it was our first time at American Eats.. such a cool place! It wasn’t too busy, the food came out super fast. We got 3 rolls (Spicy Tuna, La Frida and The Heart Attack) all of them were amazing. We also got the crab sticks. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor. There is also a bar right next to this food counter. The bartender was super friendly, and made awesome margaritas. This just became our go to sushi place in Tucson!
