07DEC2024: As good as it gets, Caprese and Bianca pizza pie were delicious - Tip of the hat to Alix, also 5 star service. Thank you.
Falora should have a Michelin Star! Dined in 11/16/2024, absolutely spectacular. Loved their nice wine selection (Read no Ecco Domani or Barefoot). Began with the Caprese – next level. We could clearly tell the ingredients were premium, the heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, so clean tasting. Of note, the olive tapenade and the smallest amount of lemon zest created a satisfying palette cleansing between each bite – 5 solid stars. The Bianca pizza was baked perfectly in their custom pizza pie oven and wow – the best ‘thin crust’ pie I have every had – truly. Finally, the staff is attentive and worked as a team. Again, 5-star service. In closing, this is a smaller, intimate dining experience. I see some reviews suggesting they didn’t like being asked to wait outside if they arrived without a reservation?!? These individuals should have their review privileges stripped. Plan ahead, make a reservation (Especially on a weekend) – or wait out outside with a smile. No seated diner wants you standing right next to their table and then dinging the review because you were asked to wait outside – shame on these neanderthals. Loved Falora and will return – often, and if I fail to plan ahead – I will be the guy just...

I love a good fire cooked pizza! I ordered the Margherita and the butter pecan salad. The sauce on the pizza is so flippin' good, I appreciate the amount of basil packed into each bite, the crust was delicious and I always dunk it in olive oil and balsamic- wish you included that on delivery. That leads me to where I am from, Minneapolis! They have a certain pizza place that delivers divine pizza like yours- I would love a "Siciliana" pizza. Would you ever consider a build your own? That is topped with prosciutto, artichoke, olives and basil...
Back to the salad: I hated the small rectangular box at first but once I plated it, HOLY MOLY, it was ample enough to serve 2 :) The fennel, goat cheese, apples and the dressing with the lettuce. ORDER this salad y'all!
The only gripe is Door Dash is not vetted through you and you failed to secure the boxes with any sort of seal and you didn't include a bag even. Maybe the driver should have something but for an establishment like yours I feel you could package a delivery so much better. In the future I encourage you to change this.
Cheers
EDIT 10/26: Do not dress the salad when someone does take out. I did not get to eat most of the salad because I did not know this. I asked for it on...
Read moreSo with the end of the year, time to give a good reliable restaurant a review. This writer has eaten there at least ten times since it opened and for consistency and freshness it is excellent.
The owner made the clever choice a long time ago to keep the menu short. Even, Gordon Ramsey, the chef with the biggest head in the business, as been preaching this mantra for years. Why small? Because each dish can be cooked from scratch, a chef can order and budget for the freshest ingredients, and there is little if any waste, thereby keeping prices at a reasonable level. A great restaurant has a need for a refrigerator but not a freezer.
The pizzas here are cooked in a wood-fired oven imported from Italy. A simple concept but like many simple things if you don't know what you are doing it can be disaster (try the wood-fired pizza at Screamin' Banshee in Bisbee for an example of a disaster). Here the crust is crisp but not burnt and the middle stays mostly firm. The basic marinara pizza is excellent, perhaps because of the careful choice of tomatoes used.
On a final note, this restaurant out-lived the big hotshot from Phoenix that closed recently after two years on Congress...
