The food can be good, but it's inconsistent and almost never justifies the price.
We don't come here often because it's very expensive for fast food - especially if you consider the cost for how little you get. I typically get the spicy chicken, but my experience has rarely been consistent. My last chicken sandwich was truly terrible. It was a small, dry and rubbery hockey puck of a piece of chicken. We're talking about a chicken sandwich that's nearly $8 on its own... and the chicken barely filled the bun.
My wife typically gets the single steak burger, which she enjoys. The issue is that they skimp on the meat big time, and then charge $7.19 for a single steak burger... I have a flat-top at home and I can make like 8 double smashburgers for the same price.
We've kind of accepted that this place is exorbitant and accepted it's a "once-in-a-while" kind of "treat." I just paid $36 for 3 regular sized meals... at a fast food place. Is what it is, but for that price you should expect quality, right? The 2 chicken sandwiches were again, dry hockey puck-like rubbery pieces of chicken that barely filled the bun. Then the fries, which are really a bit of a rip-off since shoe-string fries hardly have any substance to them, had a very distinct "plastic" flavor to them. We all noticed it. Either a bad batch of potatoes, or more than likely some bad oil.
Point being, the prices at Freddy's have always been insulting, but we got it every now and then as a "treat" because typically the food was good - not substantial, but good. I'll be hard-pressed to have a desire to go back any time soon now that I've been served such poor food.
Rating 2 stars because the customer service has at least become better and quicker.

My husband and I have tried to give Freddys multiple chances, each time thinking that surely we were ordering the wrong thing from the menu. First, let me just say, that that shakes are delicious and the employees are friendly so for this reason, I give three stars and not one. I want to like Freddys, I really do. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food just measures in to even less than subpar. The burgers are bland, lacking any hint of seasoning and are far too oily. Thus, I was left with a mouth full of unflavored greasy mess-not once, but on both visits. I initially chalked it up to that it must have been the cook but alas, I was wrong. The French fries, my goodness. What are those? I just can’t get behind the itty bitty, again unseasoned, resemblance of a French fry that Freddys serves up. Last, the chicken salad was something I could easily pick up from the deli section of a 7 eleven convenience store for half the price. And this brings me to my final point, the price. EVERYTHING on the menu is overpriced. I’ll just to stick to In N out, they consistently deliver for a fraction of the price time...
Read moreI get so full of Rude young girls with Attitude here I almost don’t want to eat. It’s almost like the manager a hiring policy…… Young girl, check, attitude when they talk to people, check, stand around and gossip, check. The same girls are always rude. The most recent one is Bliss I was told. I went to the counter today to ask for the peppers on my Chicago dog because they forgot to put them on and Bliss with attitude tells me to go to the other counter and ask them. Then she holds her hands up to me and says I don’t do that . So, I go to the other counter and wait five minute because the two nice guys are cooking the food and finally he gets them for me and apologizes for forgetting them on my hotdog. When your in customer service it’s supposed to be about the customer? She should have said yah one second I’ll get that for you. She wasn’t doing anything, there were no customers in line behind me. So why the attitude? Because she handles the register she can’t ask the guy to give it to me. I’m the customer and it’s not like I work there and know I’m supposed to go to the other side and ask and I sure don’t deserve the attitude. I’m the one paying the money for my food!
