So today me and my husband decided to take the kiddos to the McDonalds across the street from Reid Park. It started off fine untill i ordered. I have big kiddos. They are a little more active and burn calories a little faster so i asked to add an extra side to their happy meals. I would have paid the extra no problem. Well they did not do it. She just put one and one. Fine whatever. Kids are still happy. Then they had to potty. On the way to the discusting bathroom we have to pass a homeless man whome i assume lives there because everytime i go into this location hes sitting or passed out at the same table with his belongings and newspaper everywhere and is there the entire time we viset. Both bathrooms were littered with trash. One toilet in the womans room was clogged and full of poop and when my husband went to the mens room two, not one, but two McDonalds employees walked out without washing their hands. Luckily we were done eating and sent the kids to go play while we sat with the baby. During this time my special needs son lost his anxiety ball over the fence. He needs something constantly in his hands to help him regulate his emotions. And he is usually very good at keeping his things close. So it was an accedent. I went to try and see if they could open the fence and get it for him. I tried to explain his situation and the woman with the short side hair cut me off and flat out said no. So i had to sneak over and take there broom and shove it through the holes to push it to a spot he could reach it. And when i grabbed it from him it basically looked like a dust bunny. Not a soft yellow ball. McDonalds on 22nd across from Reid Park is not only filthy dirty but it is ran by rude employees who don't wash their hands and definitely not a place my family will be...
Read moreFood was great. I don't know if it was accidental, but we got two toys in each Happy Meal. The staff were friendly and polite, and the premises were clean. Wait time was a little long, but not unreasonable as we arrived just before noon and it was already very busy -- not many in the lobby, but a long line in the drive-through and I saw many meals being carried out to the pick-up station. The only real issue we had was with our milks. When I opened mine, it smelled off. I'm aware that sometimes the cap can smell off when the milk is fine and the Best By date was 5 days later, so I tried it and it tasted fine at first, but the more I drank the more it just didn't seem right. I checked my child's and theirs smelled a little too but tasted fine. They are very sensitive to smells and tastes, but drank the whole thing, so it must have been okay. I took mine back when we were leaving, and the staff member was very pleasant and courteous and offered to replace it immediately. I wasn't going to worry about it, but decided why not since I was there. I should have checked it when I was in the restaurant, but didn't open it until we got in the car. It was worse than the first one I'd had. I suspect their shipment must have got too warm at some point before it was delivered, so they probably need to toss that whole batch. If you drank milk from the McDonald's across from Reid Park around May 1st 2019 and get sick that could be why. I will note that I've been there many times and never had a problem like this before, so I don't think it's the restaurant's fault. They would have had no way of knowing their stock was off before its stamped...
Read moreI placed a mobile order to pick up through the drivethru window and whn i arrived i gave the person in the speaker the code on the app. I was told they could not find my order and to go to pick up spot 1 and maybe they will bring it out (they didnt sound to convincing so I declined that since in app it said to go to drivethru. The manager (Dean) was called and she said she could not help me because shes not familiar with the app. I tried canceling order in app and it said i could not cancel it and to contact the restaurant directly. The manager said theres nothing she could do and didnt know what to tell me. The only thing she could do was tell me to dispute the charge with my bank. I asked if i could place the order again but because i had a code I couldnt use it because i had to wait 15 min to use it again and she has no power to override that which i know for a fact thats not true since ive had them override it before for another reason. She was not helpful at all and at the end she made me purchase the food again and didnt give me a receipt because supposedly they didnt have paper. Really bad customer service and that manager should be taken out of that position and maybe have her clean restrooms instead of managing...
