Taqueria el Chikitin — Restaurant in Tucson

The plan was to have a pancake breakfast at Bobo's. But after walking past this taco truck and getting a whiff of the cooking smells... well, my plans changed. I treated myself to tacos--the tripas, pastor, and buche. I devoured them all, but the tripas taco was my favorite. Don't knock offal until you've had it in a taco. This was the most delicious and satisfying breakfast I have had in a long time. Perfection! There's no beating the price and the owner was so nice and friendly. The portion was generous. You gotta love tacos that come out literally too...

Food was ok but I thought it was expensive for 2 tacos and a coke at $9. Gal serving and cooking I assume is owner and was very pleasant. Ate in the car because it was cold and windy and the outdoor area only had tables which is reasonable due to weather. The tacos didn’t have much meat or flavor to be honest. Maybe other dishes are better but there is so much competition I will try elsewhere. Atmosphere is poor at a very busy intersection, but I will admit the music was very fun. So start off with reviews really made me come to this place and im glad I got it out the way but no wonder people come there's not alot of good carne asada places on this side of town like there is the south side so now with the food the carne asada is not carne asada idk some cheap meat then they don't have a salsa bar out so u get tacos and they put the salsa on for u like I don't want them controlling how much salsa I get like no Pico on my tacos I love Pico on my tacos but yeah!
