UPDATE: June 9th Review I had my second appointment with Tasha today. She just moved to her new studio, which is absolutely darling! It is very clean and charming and the perfect environment for a spa. The services I had done today were half leg sugaring and a facial.

Having any part of your body waxed/sugared can be painful, uncomfortable and sometimes even embarrassing. Tasha takes all of the discomfort out of having your hair ripped out haha! She is so easy to talk to while still paying very close attention to detail. I get a lot of ingrown hairs behind my knees and she gave me advice and product recommendations to help reduce them when I told her my current exfoliation process isn’t working for me.

I also had my very first facial ever... and it will definitely not be my last! I was immediately relaxed and enjoyed every moment. She took her time and checked to make sure I was comfortable during the entire thing (towels not too hot, extractions not too painful), as well as explained each step and what the benefits were.

In addition to advice about skincare, Tasha also provided me with general advice about Tucson and various activities (I just moved to AZ from Chicago in January so I’m still learning about all the great things to do here!) I am already looking forward to my next appointment with Tasha. Thank you again for providing such great service (and great conversation!)

May 4th Review For someone who has never been waxed or sugared before, I was EXTREMELY nervous. But beauty is pain, right?! I want to start out this review by saying that Tasha is WONDERFUL! When I spoke to her on the phone to make my appointment, I had a ton of questions. Tasha took her time and answered everything, and even made suggestions where I wasn't sure (i.e. doing the wax for my first Brazilian vs the sugaring so it would be a faster process). When I got to the salon, she made me feel extremely comfortable (even while she was all up in my business during my Brazilian), and although I was excessively sweating from being so nervous, Tasha helped to calm me down. I had quite a few services done during this one appointment (Brazilian and full leg wax, plus lower back and underarm sugaring), so I was there for just over 2 hours and I did not feel uncomfortable or have to deal with any kind of awkward silence at all throughout the entire appointment. Tasha was very easy to talk to the entire time. In fact, I felt like I was talking with an old friend with the way we were laughing! Despite the pain that comes with waxing, I really enjoyed my appointment and already made a second appointment with her next month. In addition to scheduling another sugaring appointment (I decided to go all sugar next time - this process creates SO much less waste than waxing), I also decided to book a facial with Tasha which I am very much looking forward to! Thank you again Tasha for making my first waxing/sugaring appointment...

(update) I’ve traveled the globe (from southern states to Albania) and experienced waxing services in countless salons, but Sugar Lips stands head and shoulders above the rest. Tasha is an absolute magician when it comes to Brazilian sugaring, eyebrow shaping, and facials. Her gentle touch and calming demeanor make every visit a truly pampering experience.

Sugar Lips treats each client as an individual. Tasha examined my skin, and really got to know my ideas about beauty before she performed my treatments. She customizes my services to accommodate my sensitive skin, and my phobias. When I want a look, but I don't like the procedure for getting that look, she accommodates that too, and comes up with alternative treatments--plus alternative looks that feel much more like me! She's skilled and licensed to work in a medical spa, but her salon is elegant and relaxed--and she always customizes the music for me too. AND she doesn't try to up-sell me on a bunch of products, but if she knows of one that she thinks would be good for me, she sends me home with a big free sample!
