Came here solo around 6:50 on a Monday night. Took about 6 minutes for the sole waitress/bartender (for about 20 patrons) to tell me to sit wherever. Another 10 minutes for her to take my order. About 10 minutes after I finished my first can of beer, she asked me if I wanted another (I did) which I received 20 minutes later. About 50 minutes after ordering, she came to tell me she wasn’t sure what happened but that were was an issue in the kitchen and that my medium pizza would be out soon. 15 minutes after that she said the guy in the back originally made the wrong pizza and that it would be out soon. Finally got my pizza ready around the 1 hour, 10 minutes mark. About 5 minutes later, the waitress brought me another beer (unsolicited)on her, apologized, and said she was taking 20% off. When she brought my check, she did take 20% off the total, but charged me for 3 beers. When I said I was fairly certain I ordered two and she gave me the third, she was insistent that I had drank four and she was comping me the fourth. When she came to get my check and card, she brought a different receipt, said she was fairly certain I drank 4 but was only going to charge me for 2.
Pizza was good and fairly priced at $19 for a medium- more than enough for one person. Definitely more bar than restaurant. Music was loud, but not quite too loud. Also, I’m pretty sure one of the “regulars” yelled “Home Depot boys” at a Hispanic family as he was leaving. So...
Read moreGot some pizza and beer, and it was pretty good. Would be 3 or 4 stars with good service. Staff was highly sketchy. The waiter treated us like a nuisance and helped regulars that came after us before he helped us. Not the first drinking environment I've been to in Seattle that treats out-of-towners like a plague. He proceeded to hit on the females in our party, and insult the males. We chocked it up to banter but he kept taking it further. He incessantly interrupted the biggest guy in our party and said questionable things to his girlfriend. Big guy kept his horses held because we were celebrating and didn't need a scene. I'm pretty sure the guy was drunk off his tap, and I have a hunch that if he'd actually brought our beers to us within an hour of ordering them, we would have been drunk enough to start a fight with him over it, but we'll never know. Beers got there and he left us alone, most likely distracted by another patron he kicked out, saying "if you don't like the service, you can get out of here." He stuck to the back of the building until we paid him and took off.
Staff may have changed out since we were last there (over a year ago), but the guy that served us...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to stop at Ulysses’ on our way to the airport, as we were craving a cold drink and some pizza. What a mistake. I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. Upon arrival, it took 10+ minutes before the waitress even realized we were there. We didn’t even see any employees until the waitress finally came out from the back. I ordered the house margarita, which was one of the specials. The waitress brought it out to me and you could tell by the look on her face she wasn’t impressed by it. She then made a comment that “they” keep watering down the margarita mix. I still drank it but god, it was the worst margarita I’ve ever had. And it was considered one of the SPECIALS!
Then the food came. We had to take it to go so we didn’t miss our flight. The pizza was awful. The dough was frozen and tasted like cardboard. If a place has “pizzeria” in the name, I assume I’m getting fresh pizza and not frozen. I ended up throwing away 90% of my pizza because of how unappetizing it was.
This was a sour end to our wonderful trip in Seattle, but at least I know to never return if I’m back...
