Asian Grill — Restaurant in Tulare

What a fun experience! We were looking for a place to eat while we were in Tulare and decided to try Asian Grill. The owner owns both Korean Chili and Asian Grill which both offers excellent food. We met the owner at Korean Chili and he is such a personable person. He told us about Asain Grill and to try it when we can. We had Natalie as our server and she was excellent. She was patient, had a great sense of humor and explained the menu if we had questions about an item we were unsure of. We ordered the sushi platter and the sushi and sashimi platter. The sashimi was so fresh and melted in your mouth like butter. Everything was so very fresh. Our meal came with miso soup and we ordered a salad as a side. The salad and the dressing was so good. The sauce that came with the sashimi and sushi platter was excellent. It made the sashimi pop even more so and it was so tasty. I wish the miso soup came out temperature hot instead of Lukewarm. The OMG was the homemade ice that was so good. We tried the strawberry, peach and pineapple with the fried cheesecake. Omg was that dessert so delicious. I also ordered the green tea ice cream which was made from an ice cream producer and that was one the best green tea ice cream I have had in awhile. Bryan was great asking us which was our favorite ice cream. Bryan was telling us they switch up the ice cream menu so there's different favors every so often. Came here today and thought I would try their Sushi Rolls, and wished I hadn't wasted my money, time, or stomach pain for this place. I'm leaving 1 star because I had to in order to leave this review. I tried the potstickers and fried tiger roll. The potstickers weren't great, but not bad either. But for the price they were very small. The tiger roll was absolutely horrible. Each bite was really small and should have had shrimp with avacado inside. Well there was avacado. But if what was inside was shrimp, a bird must of ate it first then regurgitated it, so it could be put into the roll. The rice didn't taste fresh and normally when I've had fried rolls, they dip it into tempura first and then its fried, cut and served. This wasn't tempura on the outside, I'm not sure what it was, bit anything that tasted good. As I sit on the thrown with diarrhea from this food, I know I'll never try it again. Those who left great reviews for the good food they had, were the lucky ones. I had the food those who left bad reviews had.
