West Coast Sourdough - Tulare — Restaurant in Tulare

Upon entry there was a lack of customer service. No greeting, no smiles, they don’t even acknowledge you until you’re at the register. I ordered a blt and a cup of clam chowder. The workers asks if I’d like to just make it a meal, I say sure. My husband orders a clam chowder bread bowl. While paying I notice the worker looks over the register during the tip prompt….awkward but okay. Service was quick. We asked which cup to grab for our meal, she responds and my husband and I hear two different things but can’t confirm with the worker as she’s now walked away. However there was another working cleaning the counter next to the soda machine, watching us the whole time. We get to the car and my husband notices his bowl feels a little light. We check it, just a bread bowl. No soup. He takes the food back in to have this corrected. The worker is a bit argumentative saying the meal came with chips not soup. He reminded her of my order and that SHE offered it as a meal. She finally says okay and gives us the second clam chowder. Foods good overall. Spent about $30. I seen this franchise popping up in cities and finally our city has one so I decided to feed my curiosity. The workers were very friendly and showed me through the menu. I kept my order simple. 6 inch sub that had fresh veggies and turkey. It was really fresh . What i loved most about it was the "chew" to the bread. It was delicious and made fresh daily.
