I would not recommend marriage Bakery for specialty cakes I wanted my son's birthday cake to be the Jordan shoe she did tell me or suggest that the work will be done better with buttercream so I went with that and it's good she failed to tell me that the shoe cake will be a challenge for them to make it was not proportion right the lines were not neat it was messy it looks like a rush job I did not offer or want to give me a discount and they did not have a box for me to transport my cake in would not even try to put a box together for me to transport it they said that it's the same for Lynn they make wedding cakes I think they did a poor job they will not forthcoming with all the details what is gray on the shoe they made it black it's totally the wrong color and I was not satisfied it is the day before his birthday party they did not offer to give me a discount would not give me a discount that is not good customer service when you failed and you can clearly see where the mistakes are own up to it you owe it to your customers but what we pay for your services. Absolutely TERRRIBLE. I ordered a custom cake to pick up the day before my daughter’s joint party and was NOTHING like what i had asked for. The 2 cakes were also not the same height, one was about an inch taller. The waves they added were nothing like the picture, it was supposed to be one solid wave w a soft ombré peek a boo. They told me they’d have it fixed the next day at 9, i no longer had trust in them to do the original cake so i changed to a simple ombré. They also messed that up, at this point i no longer have options for a cake and have to put this on the cake table for my girls party. Overpriced and routinely disappointing. A TON of flies are always Everywhere in the store and land on the foods in the display cases because the food isn’t well protected. They used to actually make really good cakes in the store - but the cakes are bought and then iced. Save yourself some money and go to Reasor’s or Walmart for a customized cake. You’ll be getting the exact same quality, less flies, and pay half the price. Hours are pretty inconvenient a lot of the time especially for people who work. I don’t think they offer delivery either. They also will claim to make the cakes there and everything else - but I’ve inspected them as a health inspector and the owner herself said they no longer make the cakes there.
