The menu looked intriguing, the food was not. Wine selection and cocktails were good. The lighting in the restaurant is odd. Beware migraine suffers, halogen lights could be shining right into your eyes. Caesar salad was inedible and had a strange twang and odor. The ladies bathroom was dirty. It is always my rule to leave when I see a dirty bathroom, but alas, we were all very hungry. We should have left. This is a new restaurant and maybe they are trying to work the kinks out? We overheard a group of ladies talking at a nearby table, stating the Seabass was undercooked. When it returned to the table, they let out a little, “Oh great”, they could tell it had been reheated in the microwave. Two gentlemen who appeared to be managers were delightful and tried to make everything better. They may need to replace the Chef in order to accomplish meal promises. The “carbonara” looked as if it been dumped out of a soup can preparation and didn’t taste...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try a new restaurant for my birthday, and I chose Sapori. Upon arrival, the hostesses were warm and welcoming, seating us right away. The atmosphere was simple yet charming.
Unfortunately, I can only give three stars due to the food and our waitress. When my husband asked for help pronouncing a beer on the menu, she had no idea and made no effort to find out. She also didn’t inform us about the specials, which I later noticed written on a chalkboard at the entrance. On top of that, she couldn’t recommend any dishes and didn’t even know what the saffron arancini was—which was disappointing, especially since she didn’t try to learn more.
As for the food, the chicken parmesan lacked crispiness, and the pizza barely had any basil.
On a positive note, two other staff members checked on our table and brought more basil for our pizza which was appreciated.
Overall, I’d be open to giving the restaurant...
Read moreThe interior is the polar opposite of the former restaurant (Tucci's). While it was dark and mysterious, Sapori is light and airy and inviting. The complimentary bruschetta is reminiscent of Ti Amo's. Our server was friendly and gave us time to decide on our meal. We weren't rushed at all. I started with the Sapori salad and it was delicious. The dressing reminded me of Tucci's lemonata vinaigrette. I went with a special, the Chicken Marsala. It was delicious. The baby carrots on the side had a smoky taste that complimented the rich sauce well. Chicken Piccata and the penne with vodka sauce rounded out our table. The only thing that wasn't five stars was the bread sticks. They were a bit pastry like but the sauce was good.
I would return! All of the staff was friendly and inviting. (The take Yelp...
