We've been meaning to check Bonsai Wok out, but have never got around to it. Happily we gave it a chance and no disappointment at all. The service was fabulous. No wait and our meal was made very quickly. My son declared it's his new favorite place to eat at. I wish I had taken more photos of the interior. The entire restaurant was clean and tidy with a large bookcase with a lot of book choices for reading.

The walls were filled with local artwork for sale. I'd love to come back in a few months to see if this is something they do all year long, or just during the holiday season.

As we were eating our food the entire Olympia High School basketball team came in, and the staff tackled all of them with ease and quick service. If they were overwhelmed it didn't show for a moment.

We will come back for sure and recommend giving them a shot if you've never...

I really enjoy going here. The staff are really friendly and fun (but also efficient and professional), the space is clean and pleasant, and the food is super tasty and well priced. I like their beef a lot more than their chicken, and the beef is best when it's in the yakisoba. The vegetables are top notch for a low-cost restaurant, and that's coming from someone who usually considers cooked vegetables a turnoff. My one slightly-negative note is that the meal quality varies notably from visit to visit. I almost always get the beef yakisoba with extra vegetables and fewer noodles, and while it hasn't ever been bad, I never know if it's going to be delightful, moderately good, or somewhere in between. However, I gave Bonsai Wok five stars, so you can probably surmise that it usually leans towards...

Thru door dash I ordered the Californian roll, egg rolls, and an orange chicken/broccoli and beef plate. I must’ve misread that the plate would include a small salad and paid for extra dressing that I did not receive. The egg roll is the best I’ve ever had and the steamed rice tastes “clean” and is cooked perfectly. The California roll was warm, had the SMALLEST smear of wasabi (I would’ve liked much more) and no ginger, which is my favorite part. The orange chicken has good flavor, but no heat and is mushy. The broccoli beef is soupy and the texture of the thin breading on the beef is just mush. I’d recommend the egg rolls and steamed rice. The other dishes are probably better elsewhere. Kind of a bummer to indulge and be disappointed. Fast but lacked...

Bonsai Wok is such a cute neighborhood teriyaki place, with lots of variety and charm. The classic teriyaki is cooked well and not too sweet, the Chinese wok additions like General Tsos chicken are crispy and well made, and they even have some Korean dishes as well! I love that they have local artists work all over the dining room. The staff are friendly and very accommodating of substitutions. Is this the best teriyaki in the PNW? Maybe not, but this is definitely the best place to order teriyaki in the neighborhood, and I’m always coming here for a teriyaki meal.

Stopped at Bonsai for lunch/dinner. Been here before and the portions are great. So I ate half for lunch and will eat the rest for dinner. Prices are on par with most teriyaki places in town. There is a language barrier which makes service a bit of an issue. Food is as good as most places but they give you a lot. I had Mongolian beef and as you can see by the picture, there’s a lot of beef.
