Inside seating is minimal not great for large parties/groups. It would be better if they requested parties of two or less to leave the only 2 booths for larger groups dining in. We have been 2 times and both times booths had only groups of 2 diners. There is bench seating that you must stick you butts in other people's faces to squeeze between the tables, to sit down. The decor is a fun vibe. They offer different types of ramen, some appetizers, and sushi burritos. Our favorite is the pop rock shrimp. Tasty stuff. I had a veggie ramen that comes with fried tofu cubes. The cubes were just over the line of being a bit too large to be bite size, comfortably. The broth wasn't very hot and could have been hotter. It felt luke warm, at moment it was served. The 2nd time we went i tried the pop rock shrimp burrito and it was very filling...could only eat about half. Maybe 2 people could split these along with an appetizer. On same occasion we were a party of 3 and they served my bf his ramen and my burrito but then never came back with our child's ramen. We had to ask a waitress if they forgot. Service seemed slow in general. They did not give either of them the spoons for broth...which is trivial, but after waiting a long time for food and then not even bringing our kid's food, it was was one more aggravation. The food is overall good/tastes good and we will go back but hoping for better service. Also to note is they have a severe lack of parking on sight but I assume most folks park at adjacent businesses. Their lot seems to...

A great place for ramen, and sushi! This is the first time I visited this location, but I visited other ones 10+ times.

The food: 10/10 I've had most of their sushi burritos and they're all excellent! They usually come with two sauces, one that's on the sweeter side and one that's on the spicier side, both are excellent! It depends on what kind of sushi you like, but I would definitely get one that has a little bit of crunch in it. I've only had the ramen once but it was very good also. For me personally the only draw back on the ramen was that it was overly salty for my taste, but it didn't bother others that got it.

The service: 10/10 I've always had friendly experiences with the staff, and the food usually gets out to you pretty fast too.

The atmosphere: 10/10 Usually on the quieter side, Zen provides a nice warm place for a meal. Usually they have either an anime show or other video playing in the background, but the volume isn't that loud.

The bathrooms: 10/10 Wow! The bathroom's here were pretty awesome. The each have a small faux fireplace so they're nice and warm. Very clean and well kept.

I was fairly excited about this place opening as I live close by and love both sushi and ramen. First time we tried it we got take out and they forgot part of our order. Fine, they just opened and things happen. We let them know and were told we could get it another time. We weren't impressed with the ramen we got, but still motivated to try other things on the menu. We went back a 2nd time to get the part of order they missed 1st time. We again ordered it to go. This time we were given incorrect item, a tuna poke bowl, instead of spicy tuna nachos. Fine, both have tuna as main ingredient, we can adapt. But the tuna tasted far from fresh, no one in my family would eat it. For both orders we were told the wait would be 10min, only to show up and be told to wait another 10min and end up waiting closer to 20min. If it takes 30min fine, just don't tell me 10, I'd rather wait at home on my comfy couch. To end on a positive note, the staff is friendly and the food is really pretty. I still want to like this place and maybe 3rd...

I really hate to say this, but this is my third time leaving a bit sad about how my food turned out here 🥺. The chicken was so burnt I honestly thought it was teriyaki sauce at first glance…but nope, it was just burnt chicken flavor and nothing else. I had asked for just a little extra teriyaki sauce on my rice, but it ended up completely swimming in it to the point I couldn’t even eat it, and there was even more sauce poured over the top. Normally, the meal comes with fresh salad and veggies, but the salad looked tired and wilted, and the veggies were soaked in teriyaki too. I’ve noticed the food here just isn’t consistent, and the chicken has been cooked differently (and not in a good way) each time. Once my boyfriend ordered kimchi ramen and once he got home and opened his order, there was no kimchi… in his kimchi ramen… It makes me sad because this location is less than 10 minutes from my house, but next time I’m craving Zen, I’ll be making the 25-minute drive to the Lacey location instead.
