Captain D's — Restaurant in Tupelo

There were “out of everything” so we finally asked them just to tell us what they had available! So we ordered that.

We heard the guy ahead of us order water. He waited a good 15 minutes for it! We waited 40 minutes for our food - the food they said they had!!!! We had already paid or would’ve left.

When we got the food that we waited 40 minutes for, we had assumed they were cooking it! One car in the parking lot, one vehicle ahead of us with only a water and one vehicle that ordered after us… and our food came to us COLD!!!!!!!

Overall good experience. Had to wait a minute for order to be taken but everyone was very nice and polite. Fried foods were cooked just right in fresh oil. Husband commented on having gotten one of the best and biggest pieces of fish he has gotten in forever. Dinning area and bathroom were both clean. I miss being able to get my own condiments but the lady wasn't stingy at all, which has been the case at other Captain Ds. Oh and I think the cooks forgot to put my bread on my plate but I never eat it anyway, so wasn't a big deal for me. Make sure you double...

well what can I say about the captain. Captain D's is always been my favorite place to eat around Oxford even as a small child once they've opened the new store which is now open in Oxford and has been for a few years it was a well-deserved and needed upgrade. The food is still fantastic the fries are best around the fish cannot be beat the tartar sauce seems to taste a little different I'm not sure where they switch the recipe up or what's going on there. But all in all Captain D's is still the place...
