IHOP — Restaurant in Tupelo

Went to ihop today and had an hour before we had to be at our appointment and it took them literally 45 minutes to have our food somewhat ready. There was only 2 tables before us. The place was practically empty 6 tables max in the whole building. One table got there food not long after we arrived so we really only had 1 table in front of us of 2 people. 30 minutes of being there 2 girls came in and had there food within 10 minutes and we are still sitting there!! Me and my 2 kids! My kids are hungry bc we got there at lunch at 1 and it’s already almost 2. They got bored with the colors and I mean they’re kids sitting there that long not only hungry but bored too. A table who was already happy and had there food was talking about my kids smashed colors in the floor. Idk if it was bc they were colored and most working were also and bc I’m “white” and aggravated if they thought I was just being rude bc I told them I had to go so she wanted to talk about my kids but from that it was a bad environment in my opinion too. I was super nice and calm and even left the waitress a tip for nothing just bc it’s not her fault. I mean they had no kids with them and we’re older so clearly they don’t have kids to say something period and obviously anal. Feel sorry for them if they ever had any. Of course crayons will be in the floor and probably crumbs of food too if we would have stayed there. It’s a restaurant! Just ridiculous! I told them we had to go bc we were starving already before arriving obviously to even walk in a restaurant customers are already hungry coming in there and then have to sit there that long with my kids and bored. And then she came back and said some of the food was ready and I said no we don’t have time to eat it now and be at the appointment bc that just 15 minutes to eat and they had all the food up by 1:50 but that still left us only 10 minutes to eat. I mean we done been there 50 minutes before our food is completely finished. My kids are ill and I’m ill and we’re still being nice. We will never go back! A couple months back it was same thing with poor service added brought my food out with no salsa or sour cream. Didn’t look like the picture and my kids were upset bc there pacncakea weren’t as pictured. Was not worth the money and tasted only half decent. Also they dont have coke products and there mocha tasted nasty. They didn’t even add whip cream and the powder on top...

I ordered a meal to go for my daughter and I and when I got there, the food was not ready. There was a line at the door plus customers that were already seated that was waiting for their meal as well. 30 minutes later, not only am I still waiting In line, but also the same exact customers. There was only 2 waitresses and two cooks trying to service the entire restaurant. I finally had to walk out without any food because the wait time was too long. I wanted to give the restaurant another try so I went back the following day and again, I’m waiting in line for 30 to 45 minutes for a carry out order that I placed online. The two waitresses servicing the customers were getting agitated because they couldn’t get to everyone fast enough. The food being brought out was cold and their orders were wrong making the customers upset. Finally, one of the two cooks in the back saw me waiting and brought my order to me that was just sitting there in the window for 10 min. I kindly thanked him, grabbed my order, and walked back to my car. I was starving and excited to receive my meal, but quickly became disappointed as I noticed my order was wrong and my food cold. They really need to hire more help because it’s impossible for two waitresses and two cooks to service huge crowds. It will most likely end up with either the staff getting frustrated or the customers. In this case, it seems to be both. I gave one star only because the staff worked hard to service everyone, but they just didn’t have the help they needed for the restaurant to run properly. Well tonight a few plates of our food were cold, there was a hair found in my oldest daughter's pancake on the purple swirl, this place is beyond nasty, rude, and the staff is very unprofessional and does not know how to cook a decent meal. I have pictures on here of the sign that is on the outside window as soon as you pull in, and one that is on the inside first lobby as you walk in, that both say kids eat free everyday 4 to 10 p.m.! I even took a picture of the fine print. But little do you know until you sit down and order your drinks, that it is actually false advertisement at its finest because that is when they tell you that you only get one free kids meal with one adult entree well we have my husband, myself, & 4 so that leaves us paying for two meals when we have been told all day that our kids would be fed for free no matter what from 4 to 10 p.m. I don't know who is the district manager for this place anymore this is my third and last experience at this IHOP ever in my life, I don't care how bad my kids beg me or what new super cool pancake they have, they are nothing but con artist and they false advertise and I think I'm going to see about getting a lawyer involved seemed as though I have enough evidence pictures and videos to prove my case. This place is beyond ridiculous and I would not recommend to my worst enemy to go and eat here no telling what you may find in your food and then they charge you ridiculous...
