Besides the food being good, that was the only upside. The kid behind the counter Gregory was very rude and condescending, first tells me I can’t order pesto on a sandwich nor on the side even though I was willing to pay extra for it. But also didn’t cut the sandwiches after we had requested them to be cut in half. When I brought this to his attention he said they can’t because it was not requested before. When I mention to him it was he state “oh did you say that?” Then when I needed to get napkins he simply said to get them myself as his hands are dirty. I normally have no issue getting my own napkins but at this time I can not really walk due to an injury and the way he said to get them was extremely rude. I don’t know if he is having a bad day or just plain doesn’t like his job. But he has made this first time to this jimmy johns my last time sadly. Hopefully others do not have to share this bad experience with the same kid...
Read moreI used to love this store but the service and quality has really gone down lately. The staff was always so nice but the young man making sandwiches the other day was downright rude to me. At the pickup shelf he said, "Uhhh, your name is right near the top." I questioned something on the order that I had never ordered in my life: "If it's on the order, you ordered it." I told him I was sorry to bother he nearly yelled, "What??" Then I told him I didn't mean to make him upset: All sarcastic, "You didn't upset me at all.".
An entitled little prick who was feeling sorry for himself on a bad day and taking it out on everyone else. This was Tuesday March 5, 2024 around noon.
There are lots of other places to get sandwiches in Turlock where the staff treats the public...
Read moreJimmy Johns always gets 5 stars. I'm from the Chicago area and have been waiting for a Jimmy Johns to come to Turlock for 4 years. The sandwiches are fast, simple, no fuss and delicious. Jimmy chips always knock all other chips outa the water. Yum. Vito is my personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with roast beef... Or really anything else. You can order sandwiches on a classic sub, wheat slice, or unwhich (think protein style), although the classic sub is my preferred choice. Day old bread is available for purchase, too, for less than a dollar. Only downfall is they don't deliver to my place...
