A Southern Bite — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

I heard so many good things about this place but when I went today to try for the first time I was met at the door by a guy. He told me that on Wednesday they open at 12 for soul food. “You know that soul food got to cook”. That isn’t what it says on the door or when you google the business. Both stated that they open at 11am on Wednesday. This is an inconvenience for someone trying to support you and you are going to pick and choose what days and times you are going to open at random. Bad for business! If you know that it takes longer to cook soul food change the posted hours!

They messed up our order and the side that we ordered (macaroni on Sunday) we were told it would be ANOTHER 45 minute wait for more to be made, after waiting 45 minutes for the first order of it to be made. We said forget the macaroni and accepted their offer to give us 2 pieces of bread in its place. After waiting 20 minutes on the bread, we finally got it and could leave. We paid OVER $60 for 3 people- 2 adults and 1 4 year old all to wait OVER an hour and not even receive what we ordered (a burger, bologna sandwich, and whiting fish with normal sides for each). Food was good but not awesome. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. We heard them tell another customer they were out of rice but didn't mention it to us and we had rice as a side for one plate. They told us we would get 25% off next order but didn't give us a coupon or anything. Did offer us cake. Get home and they gave us 2 sides of mashed potatoes in place of rice but didn't ask.
